Volume 1: This volume gives you a really good grasp of who the characters are with hints of their pasts to make you curious and to establish a foothold for the two relationships.
Volume 2: You don't often see an incest plot where they both love each other but instead of leaning into it, they both have love interests they're clearly going to end up with.
Wait so the mother thinks her sons are attracted to each other because they come from a village where they only got with each other? Like 'incest attraction' is a gene that can be passed down?? I was not expecting a scene like this. I get what she was trying to get through to Suou, rape is bad, but like, Suou didn't push Chouji down and try to rape him, she should have just told him that he was too young to explore with other children and to keep it to himself.
Geeze, on top of everything else, Suou is left-handed and was forced to be right-handed...
Poor Ai, I hope he gets a slice of happiness by the end;;
The backstory made me not like Benimaru, if this were real life I'd get it but this is a fantasy world and I like my incest, so this part of the story isn't for me, if it was up to me I'd want Chouji and Suou to end up together, especially since they actually take care of each other unlike Mr. Homophobic and Mr. Forceful.
Volume 3: AKA Catholicism sucks ass. Whew, it's getting harder to get through this, so much flashback and I know it's not going anywhere I want it to. The conversation between the mom and Iwago was great, her worrying he was related to them because of his attractiveness, him promising to, what, turn Chouji into a lush? The interactions between Iwago and jealous!Suou are great too, and I was not expecting to see Iwago and Godou's first meeting, especially like that hahah.

Volume 4:** WTF Chouji, threatening to rape Kayo?! Thinking about it, they're okay with a like 20 year age gap even if it's a man (Shinobu/Suou), but incest is the end of the world even though they're both men and can't conceive.
Volume 5: Maaan some of these covers/illusts making me want polyam.
Well this volume started off with a bang, Iwago clumsily confessing but all Chouji can think of is seeing him with that woman (edit: it was never resolved who this was), then he takes his anger out on poor Ai. He can be surprisingly violent, like with Kayo. His mom would probably say it's due to the evilness of incest or something but lol it's just part of Chouji's personality;;
That ending made my heart sync, I don't like time jumps to when the characters we spent all this time getting to know are dead, and the mangaka kept the identity of the man secret which just left me even more bitter. It can't be Masa, he'd be way older at that point and he knew Iwago whereas this guy didn't seem to.
It seems Ai and Kayo might have a thing so he maybe gets his happy ending, plus seeing his brothers settle down made him happy.
Do I regret reading it? Sort of, but at the same time I felt like it had enough interesting elements that maybe not.
And get this! On chil-chil, I saw three stories that don't have a translation: one showing Iwago and Chouji living together, the other being...a Shinobu x Iwago story!!! Also an anthology. I am sad I won't get to read them as part of the experience.
CWs: Forceful 2nd couple seme, Catholic 1st couple seme and all that implies, prostitution, incest, pedophilia (older men x underage Suou), rape threats (Benimaru->Chouji, Chouji->Kayo), sexual harassment for comedy (Iwago->Shinobu)
