Yomunaga is a town overflowing with books – with every street and corner filled with booksellers and book cafés, it's a bibliophile's dream. High school student Mifuyu Mikura hates books, which is a problem, as she's heir to her great-grandfather's Mikura Hall, which houses Yomunaga's most prestigious (and voluminous) collection of rare books. Mikura Hall isn't any old private library, however. Each book is enchanted with a protective curse. When certain volumes go missing, Mifuyu and her mysterious new friend Mashiro find themselves dragged into a strange world of magical realism and genre-conforming plot conventions in search of the thief.
