Pairing: Zoro x Tashigi

From Shakunetsu:

(The story is set during the Alabasta arc. The crew is already with Princess Vivi at this point.) During a huge storm, Tashigi gets washed overboard the marine ship she was on. Sanji and Zoro, being on watch that night, spot her floating in the ocean and rescue her from drowning. Turns out Tashigi can’t remember a thing anymore. Not even her own name, let alone who the Straw Hats are. So they take care of her, promising her to bring her to the next village they arrive at. As fate willed, romantic feelings start developing between Tashigi and Zoro as they sail the ocean together. But will Tashigi overcome her amnesia eventually? And will her feelings for Zoro still be the same once she remembers who he really is?

Notes: 夜光虫 (Yakouchuu) is another name for the phenomenon called “Noctiluca (Scintillans)” which is also known as “sea sparkles”. It’s a marine-dwelling species which exhibits bioluminescence when something hits it, like waves crashing over it. This type of plankton basically floats on the ocean’s surface, making it look like a beautiful array of stars adrift at night.
