None of these three stories can be deemed amazing but they're okay and enough to fulfil their purpose as a collection of short little stories to pass time with. In fact, it is precisely because they weren't designed to be very profound and insightful that they were kept at their short length, which is actually a right move on the mangaka's part. She set out to write these cute little excerpts about cute BL boys doing their thing just so that the audience can enjoy their cute interactive moments and that's it, nothing more, nothing less. It wasn't meant to be realistic or well-developed; the tone and composition of each story would've had to be completely different if that was the case. I actually like the humour and thought the first story in particular was quite sweet. Not everything has to be serious and avant-garde all the time.
This manga includes 3 short stories, and they're all kinda meh. They're very cliche, have weird pacing, and overall, aren't very satisfying if you're looking for a good read.
I know some people may say that these kinds of mangas are meant to be sweet, tooth-rotting fluff, but it's hard for me to care about the characters when they don't even have a personality. The characters are so flat that I can't think of more than one personality trait to describe each one.
Tamaki (story 1) and Sakoya (story 2) are the blankest characters. Tamaki grew up alone, so he can't just leave Taketora alone! He's head of the yakuza? Tamaki couldn't care less. I think the average person would worry about having a yakuza boyfriend. Story 2 throws us head first into a relationship that has already started, and the only thing we know about Sakoya is that he loves his boyfriend and worries. That's it.
Despite the fact that the first story is the main story, the first chapter only has 23 pages, and the second chapter 26 pages. It's really difficult to develop a plot for a short story with that few pages and it really shows. I rather have one developed story than the three maybe average ones here.
