Guess I'm the first to review this one. First of all, I don't
think the summary does this manga justice. Yes, that's the
setting, but it doesn't tell you anything about what the manga
is like.
Koe de Oshigoto is a really funny manga, though it may not be
for everyone. I can understand giving it the 'ecchi' flag,
but at the same time the content is pretty different from your
typical ecchi manga. In fact, there's very little fanservice
here. What you have instead is the protagonist, Kanna,
struggling to get into character for some pretty erotic roles.
A lot of stuff is alluded to but not necessarily shown
explicitly.
I have heard some folks compare this manga to REC, and while
there are certainly some similarities I think this manga is
much better. REC is, at its core, a fairly generic ecchi
romance manga that happens to use voice acting as a setting.
Koe de Oshigoto is much more about the actual voice acting.
Beyond that, it's also about a formerly innocent high school
girl learning to cope with an ecchi side she didn't know she
had.
A lot of the humor revolves around teasing Kanna, but it looks
like there is a pretty interesting supporting cast as well.
It's too early in the series for any of them to have been
given much depth, though. Still, I think it has a lot of
promise.
