I've read this years ago and I still love the ending just the way I did then.
I don't usually leave a comment but I need to say this. Asou IS a b*tch and to that commenter who "sympathize" with her, you are the one who should re-evaluate yourself. She has a boyfriend yet she still tries to mess around with Kyo and
For me Nina is a great fl. She makes a great decision. Sad to think this manga can have a different outcome if it wasn't for Asou's manipulative way and
I don't understand why people is complaining about the art because the art is super cute.

freaking kiss him while she was still in a relationship with her boyfriend so yes she is a sl*t!
She knew Kyo loves Nina and vice versa but of course she still wants to get together with Kyo just to be "his number one" lol Let's be real, she doesn't love Kyo when they started dating, she just wants something that her ex can't give her yet she doesn't want to let go of Kyo even though she knows Kyo likes Nina. Dragging Kyo into her messed up toxic relationship just to satisfy her greediness and jealousy is just selfish. She's manipulative and childish. Can't believe someone is stupid enough to sympathize with someone like her.For me Nina is a great fl. She makes a great decision. Not great, not terrible.
The reviewers on here are terrible, though, and way too supportive of/into the whole Madonna-Wh*re Complex bull that's such a hackneyed trope in manga.
Asou is flawed, but she really doesn't do anything villainous. She's a human teenager who'd been in a terrible relationship with an older guy who was kinda an a**hole, and she craved positive attention from a boyfriend figure. Kyousuke was a single guy with an attractive personality/appearance.
Everyone caling her a slvt needs to stop and reevaluate themselves.
I personally thought she was an idiot at times, and pitiful at others, but I never thought of her as a true antagonist. She didn't even actively try to sabotage Nina and Kyou's relationship or bully Nina, like any other shoujo villain would.
Nina's actions were more hurtful than Asou's, if we're going to be honest here, though she was never malicious. Nina hurt people with Bad Decisions because she's literally a kid, and as naïve/innocent as a fourteen year old can get.
That said, I did sympathize more with Yuiko than Nina. I sympathized most with Kyousuke, though, and thougght most poorly of Kumagawa.
The art was average - not bad, but not unique or pretty.

I'm so happy with the ending! I went through the whole thing thinking 'god please let Miyake and Nina stay together even though he's not the main boy'! This ending was just great, so satisfied!

The ending was so good I don't feel sorry for kyousuke he's an idiot if he lover her too why did he hurt her so much, why did he ended up dating that slut, why ?? Because she rejected his kiss just for that. Asshole! Ugh. My bad. Well anyway I'm glad about the ending she finally realized her feelings. I'm quite happy bc miyake care about Nina feelings over his but the other guy he was just playing around he was giving hopes to Nina she believed it. I just hate him from the bottom of my heart. He lost the love of his life just for a slutty girl. You got what you deserve.
I like this manga because usually the girl always choose the asshole guy. But didn't happen I was praying for that actually.

It was good overall to me. I think it's the first manga that I ever hated a character this much
The story is quite slow and sometimes there were some unnecessary things happened. But overall, I enjoyed it. The ending was satisfying for me.
Recommended to everyone.

He's tossed around by a slut who ruins his lifelong mutual love. Then ends up forever alone while some jabronni is banging his unrequited love 5 ft away from his room. Jesus Christ have some goddamn empathy for the opposite gender when you write a manga.

It was honestly a rough beginning, very, should I say, shoujo-like. But it grows on you and it ends in a unique way. Not just in who she ends up with, but her interactions with other members of her family and fellow students. She's not some loner who makes friends throughout the manga. She already has friends and they support her. And though it is not free of drama, the bulk of it is centered around the main characters and not other random students in the school trying to create trouble.
Enjoyable read and would recommend to any shoujo fan.

It's ok. And by the way, this is not the first manga to have this sort of ending. I have read many similar titles. There are a few things that bother me though.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Early in the manga, if she was really so in love with him, why did she reject his kisses twice. That's not the way to convince someone you love them and want to date them. Also, if he really liked her all along, then why turn down her confession and date someone else. It really makes no sense at all. Last but not least, she seemed to move on rather fast. Under normal circumstances, it would probably be normal to move on in the given amount of time, but I think it was be nearly impossible to move on while living next door to the person and interacting with them on a daily basis.
Ending was good!

Every character got what it deserved.
A very good story, like the heroine a lot. Not your typical crybaby shoujo manga character.

I didn't like it, but it had potential and there were a few cute moments.
This series could have been a really sweet story of first love, but it all goes so wrong halfway into volume one. Let me just break it down:
The characters - Nina was sweet, but such a cry baby. Oh man, she was literally crying in every other scene and I had no clue why. It was just unecessary. She was also a little too naive and obtuse. As for Kyousuke, man, what was he doing? I didn't understand him at all. Both characters were horribly developed (yeh, even for a manga). I didn't get their motivations at all.
The story - It was confusing, and not just the panels. The dialogue as well (even that was scarce in parts). This could have been a really nice story of a girls crush and how she has to rethink her feelings as she grows and their lives don't connect in every way for the first time. I could have even appreciated the ending if the writing were better. As is, the plot didn't flow well and that killed it for me.
The art - Getting straight to the point, I didn't care for it. I felt it was inconsistent and messy.
