This is an interesting premise, but the execution falls by the wayside. Putting aside the typical issues like the characters' lack of personalities and the fast and furious (and nonsensical) progression of their relationship, the true problem is Awai Kei's attempt to write a Comedy-cum-(supernatural) Horror-cum-BL. This is difficult, even for more skilled mangaka: there are certain tropes you need to hit in each genre to elicit the appropriate reactions from the reader, and unfortunately, Awai Kei manages to stumble past all of them. I tried reading this as a horror manga since the ghosts/spirits are often drawn, weirdly, with more detail/shading than the main characters, but since Toono easily defeats almost all the malicious spirits he encounters, this was also underwhelming. If I continue reading this it's because I'm most invested in Yorikawa's plotline--that tells you everything you need to know about this manga.
