Like every villain is actually very well thought out, as well as really relatable, i am honestly surprised by how relateable some of these villains were, i even found myself qanting them to also achieve their goals.
Only issue is that some characters are just forgotten, like the circus performer.

Shizuya and Berserk (10/10)´s Miura went to school together and it shows through the similar art and world-views.
The violence is equally impactful here and everyone has to suffer though living hell too. No happy endings will be found in this first series and this may also be one of the best takes on slavery i have seen in a comic. The historic research the author undertook is lastly very palpable and i like the direct sequel (basically Vol. 16) equality. Fans of HBO´s Rome or Starz´s Spartacus and certainly of Historie / Vinland Saga (10/10) will feel at home with this tale.

Hey, I have read the whole 15 volumes of this manga in Chiense version. I can assure you this is a good one. Although it doesn't like other manga that exaggerate boold and the power of protagonist, but it does have good character development. If you like Berserk, Vinland Saga, and Claymore, I think this one may suit your reading preference, though it may not as good as those masterpieces mentioned.
If you are only 5 years old and like some manga with characters owning the superpower to do some impossible martial art, then I don't recommend this manga to you. All move and action in this manga is possible though training.

it's not that bad. it shows live or die situtations for slaves during the roman era. How they were considered as basically animals. It's interesting. I'm not sure about the character right now because theres only one volume out..he seems pretty strong and good at fighting. I'm sure he'll mature over time. i'm pretty sure it'll get a lot better seeing its still ongoing after 15 volumes. It's not SUPER good it's a decent read..you know just reading in your free time.

i just read the first chapter, which i have been waiting for for ages, and quite frankly, while i was expecting awesome blood, fists and roman style gore, i got 17 kinds of un-awesome and a steaming pile of bitchy effeminate protagonist, quite frankly, i don't see myself waiting for the release of the whole volume
