Mid tier shit

Holy fuck the author made him to a generic spineless, dense, idiotic, classic male lead. It's pointless expecting a good story from this

Also the "Sexually active protgonist" tag is a lie, the ecchi scene are censored and there's no sex at all.

the MC is the typical dense loser self centered cuck you see in most of these works where he abandons his girlfriend so she can potentially date the hero(to keep the party together) nevermind her feelings the breakup is harsh too he lobs insults at her and makes her cry and the author tries to make it seem like some deep shit this is just garbage like seriously it was actually promising like others said if the mc wasnt a dumbass waste of ink.why cant these authors just make a strong mc AND strong side characters

It's ok but..

got a couple major issues
1. The fanservice is REALLY 'in your face'
2. It's a harem. I think there's about 7 women in love with him? Lemme count...ok there's 5 that have a romantic interest and at least 2 that have shown a sexual interest and another 1 that probably was just seducing him.
3. The world-building doesn't quite make sense. e,g,:
3a. A lot of people should already be doing what he's doing on a national level. Yes he's the only one that can find hidden talents, but there's no mention of armies being used alongside training skills to roam the world to kill monsters and get loot and such. Why is he the first? Idk, maybe there's a reason
3b. Monsters drop pristine items because they ate human bodies? srsly? So how does he gather thousands of them? and why do golems drop items, too? And if monsters come from Hell, why are there golems? And ...well you get the idea
3c. The levelling system isn't really explained at all.

So, yeah it's got problems. It's....decent story. Nothing special. I just read it cos I had a 'base-building'/'civilisation-building' itch.
Art is pretty good, too.

Utter trash MC
by Gottesurteil

Rating: 4.0  / 10.0
The MC manages to bring down an otherwise potentially interesting story. The rest of the reviews pretty much nail it. The MC is disgustingly attached to his college friend/party member, which is deeply ironic considering that their interaction in flash backs implies that they havne't really known each other that long. Basically it boils down to the fact that the MC has zero self-esteem, for no apparent reason, and literally EVERY action of his is due to said lack of self-esteem, and places his former party leader on a massive pedestal, and ALL actions are just for him. Girl is planning to leave the party with the MC because he can't keep up? Well, lets break up with her so she stays with the hero's party, regardless of her feelings. (Or the MC's own? can't have been a good relationship if he breaks up with her just so she can help out the hero)

That happens all the time. MC gets anxious because he's not good enough for the hero's party (despite being gone from them for over a year), goes to solo a B-rank dungeon. Has a shitty mood because it took him so long, laments on his own inferiority, basking in how pitiful he is, and 'woe is me'.

Oh, and he treats literally every member of his old party like trash, as pure foils just for the hero. Doesn't matter what they do or say or think, they literally never factor into his decision making. Just 'will this be a good party for the hero'. Despite being their comrade and part of the reason they were recruited in the first place.

Basically, the MC has no 'self' at all, and places every part of his psyche upon the party leader. No other person matters, he's dense as hell, and has a massive inferiority complex.

Honestly, if the MC were AVERAGE, let along decent, this manga could be really good. Characters are interesting, the fief management could be interesting, the cast (and yes, the girls) are great for the most part. Even the hero character isn't the 2-dimensional cutouts that many 'banished from the hero's party' heroes are. But the MC is SO BAD, he drops the level of the entire story down.

**** Side Note: Some of the raws use AWFUL black bar censorship, that isn't remotely subtle. Expect entire frames to be unreadable. They've gone back and corrected a few of the early chapters, so it's mostly the mid-story ones (maybe like 10-20 ish?). It's... truly horrific at times. Just be warned. *****

Good worldbuilding, poor story execution.

World building is good, but character development is poor. Mangaka creates some unique characters, but then forces unnatural actions on them that don't make any sense. Also, what is up with the unnecessary censorship? Its not like we can see anything, but author has chosen to censor the girls unnecessarily and its just annoying to read with a big black box every couple of pages.

Stereotypical boneheaded MC that constantly miscommunicates with any of his love interests and pushes them away. Stupidly laidback and easy pushover mindset that makes him highly unlikable. I guess there's a reason there's a declining birth rate in Japan when even in their fantasies the man just can't get a girl. So done with this crap.

Great, Squandered Potential
by LazyReviewer

The story has a great premise, the art is great, and the characters are designed well, too. This has so much potential, but based on what's there in the first 18 chapters, I can tell this will never be a great story.

Individually, almost every element is above average. The character design is excellent, the personalities are nice, the world design is cool, etc.

But it's all squandered by the plot forcing the characters to act in specific ways that don't make sense to their personalities, feelings and histories in the slightest; all because the author wants to maintain the story's premise as the antagonistic force instead of letting it be the catalyst for a new direction in the story and letting its future influence fade away.

The author simultaneously has every female character fall for the MC (main character), and has made it so they all have or begin to develop meaningful relationships with the MC.... But then everyone, MC included, chooses to be unhappy because some invisible force (the author) causes them to break their established characterization and suddenly hate themselves for no reason other than the plot demands it.

And so much of this story is added retroactively it's not funny. There doesn't seem to be much planning. For example, in chapter 1, a party member acts in a certain way. Turns out, they were X, but that was revealed in chapter 18, which suddenly makes their behavior in chapter 1 make less sense than it did before this was learned.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The MC was also angry about his ex GF (who he gave up for the sake of the party) possibly being with another man, then she comes to him, knowing she doesn't want to adventure anymore because it's not worth not being with him. And the MC sends her back and she accepts?

Hogwash!

I've only rated this a 5 because of how good the individual story elements are. If they were average, I'd rate it a 3.

So if the author just let the characters do what they want to do, yeah, the story would be different... it would also be better. Needs a rewrite to save the good parts.

Not bad

Seems promising so far, I like that the MC isn't a super overpowered person who is only mistaken as weak like in other similar stories. I also like the idea of repairing and strengthening a region rather than an adventuring party. Art looks nice, character interactions and backstory are easy to understand, plot is easy to follow.
