This manga/story is only 'realistic" to people who've never read a good apocalypse story before. The MC is, again, detestable. Nor is he smart, the blackmails into rape a teenage girl looking out for her brothers because he's a horny creep. Then justifies it saying, "no one does anything out of the kindness of their heart" and uses it as an example to get sexual favors out of a teenager.

Ok, now that is probably where the "realistic" comes from people who like this garbage but there's a big caveat that stops this from being a true gritty apocalypse story: the only reason the MC survives is because of his special 'immunity" that not only doesn't turn him, the zombies ignore him, nothing else. He isn't smart, strong, quick-thinking or anything, he just wakes up conveniently blessed.

The author and MC themselves seem to understand this too. So he tries to hide his immunity for justification of how "hard he works" for others. It's a just a bad story, there's literally hundred of thousands better stories than this with better writing

I find this is in my strike zone, just little enough of everything. Really great art. The plot can be dull in the beginning but it develops later on. A little of degenerate MC, a little of romance, a little of moral, planning, harem, erotica...

The main character is a decent guy, but not a hero. He has a fairly mercenary personality: he's willing to help others for free if it's not an inconvenience, but he won't go out of his way to help someone unless he gets something in return. Readers looking for a chivalrous main character will be put off by this, but it's a believable outlook for an average person in an extreme situation, and he interacts with (non-zombie) people fairly, aside from concealing some information that's probably unwise to conceal. But, that seems to be because he's not particularly bright. He's no idiot, but there's often a wiser, albeit less obvious, course of action that a more clever character would be expected to take. The other characters react to the main character's actions realistically, and both the main character and the supporting cast experience satisfying character growth as the story progresses. It's very seinen, though... readers who don't yet find most shounen characters and plots to be shallow will likely be unable to appreciate what this series has to offer, because when characters make mistakes, those mistakes have consequences.

In terms of story, the seeds have been sewn for some very interesting and unusual plot developments, and some of them are clearly growing strong, but time will tell if they bear fruit in the end. In the early chapters, at least, a clever reader will sometimes pick up on the clues before the main character does. They do tend to be a bit subtle, however... an inattentive reader would likely overlook them entirely. Either way, the story shows a lot of potential in the early volumes, and I'm very curious to see how the story develops.

I cannot recommend this to anyone except people who should probably seek professional care.

Obviously the material contains gore and sexual violence. This itself is not a problem; the problem is the main character is the one committing the sexual violence and at no point does the manga even attempt to paint it in a negative light. If anything it keeps trying to show that "Oh but he's saving them too so he's still the good guy" when everything he does is manipulative and messed up.Frankly that's a miserable read to see a guy rape and manipulate a woman but still be painted an anti-hero. Maybe he receives retribution at the end of it, but it sure isn't worth sticking around for.

Oh, and the plot is boring. If you've watched or read any zombie media there's nothing new here.
