Description

Ikumi Chiba is home for the summer from Tokyo, where he goes to university. Upon returning, Ikumi meets one of the gardeners who works in his family's yard, Harukiyo. Although Harukiyo looks tough and confident at first glance, Ikumi discovers that he is actually quite quiet and shy... Or maybe he is talkative and friendly, and he just doesn't like Ikumi!? They say 20% of the people in the world won't like you... Has Ikumi met his match?! Or maybe there's another reason why Harukiyo acts that way?!

i love this one !! super quick and fun read,, love their dynamics - haru is so adorable T.T<3

it's nothing earth shatteringly unique, yet it still left such an impression on me and i always find myself thinking about them or coming back to re-read !! found its way into my top reads and i'll be checking out this mangakas other works for sure !!

only downfall would be the trip extra... sigh - i wish we had gotten to see a bit more of them </3

overall:

art style: 4/5 - consistent, easy on the eyes

plot: 3/5 - easy, straightforward romance - nothing too untoward happens and it feels very natural

dynamics and characters: 5/5 - definitely some of my favs, harukiyo so lovely!! i just the love the contrast of his appearance and actual personality >.<!

Most of it is decent, it's just too bad that the last chapter is spent on Harukiyo and Ikumi fighting because Ikumi insisted on filming them having sex, then he apologizes for it and they make up...and then in the extra, he does it anyway, without consent from Harukiyo. Could've done without that part.

Cute and high quality

Nothing earth-shattering, just a simple straightforward romance. No complaints. The pacing is nice, the art is good, the characters are distinct and reasonable. In terms of cozy easy low-drama tankobon romances, this is top tier.

Pretty cute at times

I really hope this gets an official translation because this was a cute story to read, I'm definitely buying it in Japanese soon. I did have a problem how the apology went down with trying to force someone to do something sexually that the other person wasn't fully comfortable with. It was done right showing how pissed the other person was but the way the apology was written felt so dead as if the writer wanted to get straight to a sex scene. They could have spent more time making that apology much more emotional and believable especially when he got what he wanted in the end. That sort of bothered me.

Quick and simple

So this story is fairly straightforward and doesn't have a lot of drama that extends for long periods of time. It goes by pretty swiftly and smoothly, which would be an ideal choice to pick if you're in the mood for something easy to digest. Definitely not an extraordinary work, but there are many cute moments to make up for that. The characters are adorable and make me care for them enough to follow their story. This is one of those instances where the lack of substance and innovation doesn't render a manga too unenjoyable. I also really like the art; it's totally better inside the tankoubon than what's on the cover.
