Description

Igual como mencioné en la primera parte de este manga, el dibujo me tiene imnotizada. Como muchos de los comentarios ya lo mencionaron, hay un gran crecimiento personal enorme en ambos protagonistas, debo admitir que lloré un poquito al ver como Yuuma en esta secuela pudo superar muchas inseguridades gracias a que Ryouhei en todo momento le demostró que lo ama mucho🙁 ♡

Ya leí como 3 veces esta secuela y no me molestaría leerla otra vez más jajajaj

We DO have: consent, great art, hot sex, talking through issues (there's some pulling away, but not the exaggerated kind), communicating about insecurities, expressing love openly, being assertive, character growth, fluffy moments.

We DO NOT have: forced physical contact, annoying drama, dumb love triangle, stupid misunderstandings, angsty "I'm leaving you" faux-breakups.

What we probably could've benefited from seeing: that subplot with Yuuma's parents' expectations being addressed, Yuuma and Ryohei talking about their long-term future, more of Yuuma's thoughts beyond Ryohei (like his aspirations, maybe even the resolution to risk his relationship with his family by introducing Ryohei to his parents).

Tl;dr: very wholesome, hot sex scenes, good character evolution. What's missing is easy to ignore if you're only here for the fluff, and not necessarily looking for 100% realism.

Actual character growth

It's rare to see such a character growth in a seme, but here Ryouhei shows his vulnerabilities and willingness to commit, communicate and to follow Yuuma's pace.
It's essential to read the prequel though.

Simple plot but lots of emotional depth. I agree with previous reviewer that this sequel is even better than the prequel. Both MC and ML are very likeable and their relationship is refreshingly healthy.

One of my favourite series of ALL time. This is essentially the Vol 2 of Oreshika but re-titled, and it illustrates the continuation of Yuuma and Ryohei’s relationship. Again, I liked Oreshika because it was intense, sexy, and even had some surprising depth to it at times. But THIS? Blows the first volume straight out of the water. We get a lot more insight into the thoughts of the two characters, particularly Ryohei as he grapples with his feelings, a great deal of more emotional vulnerability, and milestones marking the growth of their relationship. Yes, their relationship started on a sexual note and continues to be, bless the yaoi gods, but Sensei manages to infuse it with so much emotion and sensuality. And our MCs communicate! It’s crazy how many good things can be packed into a single volume.

I bought the raws hardcopy, so I could only understand the gist of what they were saying most of the time, but I could still feel what the characters were going through. I think that’s testament to how talented Sensei is. She has an uncanny ability to capture emotions in a way that other authors sometimes lack. Okay enough of writing I need to go off and scream!!! Because it will be a long time before I find something as good as this. Hopefully Sensei releases a new manga soon…
