I am currently on chapter 48 of this manhwa and it’s been great thus far. The concept of the story itself is a little bit cliché, but the way they executed makes up for it by 10 folds. The romance isn’t at the forefront like most BL stories, but it’s still an integral part of the story as it explores the main character’s deep-seated homophobia and what the struggles of having heavy patriarchal expectations placed on boys at a young age and it is especially exacerbated by growing up in a poverty stricken war torn country. Since the is story doesn’t rely on your usual BL tropes, it’s quite a refreshing read because of its more realistic approach to the storytelling.
