This manga us quite good, but it has too much stubborn characters, so it can be annoying sometimes.
The king of stubbornness is Mahiro, an omega who cannot accept Arata can love him. He has this typical for omegas inferiority complex, even though he shouldn't, because he is smart, brave and strong, and he was always the one who protected Arata. Thanks to his stubbornness and the fact, that he never tell Arata anything (I have a feeling he would lie that Zu-kun is someone's else kid if Arata hasn't noticed that he looks just like him) things starts to be quite heavy at some point, when he rejects Arata over again, although he sleeps with him and they looks just like a family, so Arata goes away and a few years pass again. Arata is not the same cheerful person, who was looking for his beloved omega for years. Now he looks tired, he gave up on everything, it can be seen how sad he is.
All this is a lack of communication's fault and this stupid stubbornness of Mahiro.
But then we have this most important scene, that finally changes everything.
When
Mahiro eats dinner with his close friend and colleague, a purposefully beta guy (I forgot his name) in his empty house suddenly he goes into heat. He is attacked by his friend, who to his surprise isn't a beta, but an alpha, and in that moment it's Arata who is in his mind. He thinks about him, and realizes he is still the same, nothing has changed. This scene is made in similarity to the one when Mahiro and Arata had sex for the first time as a teenagers, and it's made in purpose for Mahiro to understand his feelings. When that beta guy started to touch him he should be feeling good (because he is an omega in heat), but all he thinks about is how it's different from when Arata touches him. And in the moment he realizes that sex in rut without medicines will get him pregnant was the moment he took the things closest to him - a pan - and hit the beta guy with all his might. He finally realized that he knew everything's gonna be okay with him, because he had a Arata's baby. He wanted to have his baby, and that's why he let them have sex in his heat, so the Zu-kun was born. This was his answer. When he thought about having baby with this beta guy he hated it, so he made his body - weaker in heat - fight, so it could never happen. But when years ago he thought about having a baby with Arata he doesn't mind it, and that's why he let them have sex. Mahiro finally understood that no matter that he has someone who makes him feel relaxed, even if he is an alpha who could love him, he cannot give him - or anyone else - anything more that friendship. No matter how many time will pass by, he only wants Arata to touch him, only him can make him feel good, be happy. And that's why Mahiro tells Arata everything, including his misunderstanding about selling himself, his love for him, that he was afraid he could be a nuisance for him and he doesn't want for Zu-kun to be raised for being alpha purposes only. That was the time they had a totally sincere talk for the very first time. And we get to knew that being on rut Mahiro always made a nest for himself with Arata's shirts.
The only thing I didn't like was
Mahiro's word "if we have sex now I am gonna get pregnant", when beta guy assaulted him. It felt like it was equal to: so if have sex only not now", but it can be translation fault I guess, as I read it in Spanish (English translation is only till chapter 3). Or maybe I am just too picky, as this whole situation was meaning like:"if we have sex now I am gonna get pregnant, because I am in heat without meds, and there is no way we could do it without rut".
Besides,
I didn't like that this beta guy for few years didn't tell Mahiro he is an alpha, and his neighbors and friends, who made him work there hide it from Mahiro too. I mean, it's a very important information as Mahiro is an omega and it could be dangerous for him. Well, maybe it was their purpose from the beginning, to find Mahiro an alpha, but what's even worse is that there is no explanation, no apologize, no word about it after this assault. We see that guy still works there at the end, when Mahiro is sitting with a baby girl, but we still don't know if he really is an alpha or he just was in love with Mahiro, so he wanted to have sex with him. We know nothing.
After all, I will read it again when English translation will be completed. Wasn't so bad.
