This manga is not about the student who acts like a main character, it's about the teacher. This manga isn't REALLY about a student trying to become a better artist, it's about the struggles of creativity and taking back motivation. I wrote a long review explaining what this series is really about. It's a lewd series, and it's funny, but DAMN does it hit me in the heart. It's really about this failed artist and the lengths he goes through to both inspire others and get back into the business. It's kind of magical, really, and it's pretty straight-shooting with how hard this can be. Watashiya-sensei can be very strange, but when she has something to say she says it well.

Quite a uniqur situation, at first the MC is some generic boring character, but as time goes on the teacher starts to become the focus of the manga. We are probably in for a midsummer night's dream esque plot. Where the girls are with eachother and the guy with eachother lmao.

Hopefully the mangaka taps into the genius that went to Kodomo no Jikan

I could just be biased against dumb ass male lead tropes but this MC is like 10x worse than the dense male lead cancer that is currently plaguing manga, anime, and light novels.

All the other characters though in this are quite entertaining and interesting and the premise seems ok

One thing I've learned from reading manga for four years: Its creators often include slightly transgressive elements in the stories to grab and hold the attention of the teen and young adult readers. You probably already noticed this. Ecchi material in manga is not just fanservice. It's the lifeblood of many manga.

WATASHIYA Kaworu is the master of this approach. She created the fun "Kodomo no Jikan" with whiffs of lolicon throughout -- but no actual forbidden sex at all. She also has a great gift for creating rebellious characters, writing flirty and combative dialog, and drawing super-cute girls. She's a smart woman, and so are her characters. I think almost any reader would like to follow the interactions of the lineup of exciting and interesting characters already on the scene in just three chapters of this manga.

If "Kodomo" is any indication, this (non-lolicon) manga will have an interesting and deep story about struggles of the kids and teachers to live good lives in a difficult school world.

There's currently a new scanlator who looks like bringing this back from the dead. I sure hope he goes ahead with it!
