Love the cooking and his familiars/friends/companions.

This is pretty much the isekai version of Dungeon Meshi. MC doesn't want to fight so he has very little focus on leveling up, and he is not ridiculously overpowered

Good for a generic isekai that doesn't focus on romance at all, only on traveling and food.

I love this manga so much. I think it's incredibly unique and also hilarious!

I was a bit skeptical of this at first, because I wasn't at all a fan of the novel, but the manga adaptation had me in stitches. Not to mention the art is great. I'd definitely re-read it again.

A good change from the hero and fighting isekai while not steering to far from the roots. It's getting more popular in summoned isekai for the MC to refuse working with the summoner, this one thou has an MC that doesn't like fighting and is smart enough to flee the country as soon as possible and not getting involved in politics. By the way, this might be the first time I read of an MC going to an adventurers guild not to register but to hire an escort. From there till now it's been pretty much world building and a sort of prologue (I think), some may like it some may not, truth is while there is always some development, many people will see it as if nothing is actually happening, for me, it does have some pacing issues and sometimes it seams the author doesn't know what to do with the story other than the food of the day and the fight to show how OP Fel is. In any case, In any case, it has it's good moments and the combo of Fel and Mukouda is interesting to watch.
Chars are also fairly well defined and not overly cliched, they also feel natural (MC is a bit dumb at times, like how he goes crazy with Sui's cuteness) and the MC being cautions and normally intelligent is nice too, also, he's the classic Japanese guy that's too polite to decline someone directly and there comes in Fel, rough and proud complementing his weak personality. And as for Sui, I find it more of an extra and kinda boring sidekick.

Overall, a somewhat refreshing take on the isekai genre that I'm not sure where it's going, so too soon to say but entertaining so far.

Read 20 chapters of it, even cared enough to read chapter 19-20 raw despite my still meagre japanese language skills. Quite interesting and even funny. I like the character cast and how it's focusing on the journey and camaraderie between the mc, the fenrir and the slime. There are no girls around and the whole story is pretty much focused around traveling, seeing new places and gradually adapting to this world and learning stuff. The cooking part is just some basic japanese cuisine with simple explanations that takes a page or two each time.

It gets better after several chapters. I especially like the general mood of the manga after the slime, fenrir and gluttonous goddess has been introduced. They set the framework for this to be a light, fluffy and somewhat funny adventure story. Not sure how long a story like this can keep going though, it all depends on how good the author is at thinking up new and interesting adventures. It might get stale pretty quickly later on, but I do feel that it'll at least be interesting for 50 chapters with the way things are looking now(probably a bit more than 1000 pages). At 20 chapters it's about 500+ pages. If truly done right, even 100 chapters might not be impossible but that'll be stretching it.

So, give it a try. Remember to give it several chapters, preferably around 10, before you decide if it's worth your time. It'd be best if you at least waited until the slime has been introduced, preferably the goddess as well, before deciding whether or not to drop it.

Holy! This is actually a pretty good start, I agree with the other reviews. Definitely different from the other mangas/novels based on similar tropes. The reason I said rating is subject to change is because of the fact that it may get better or worse but for now my initial rating is 8/10.

I've had a lot of fun reading this series so far. Unlike a lot of the 'respawn' / 'reincarnation' / 'transported to a new world' stories which have been popping up recently, I feel like this one steps away from the usual tropes which usually consist of a lot of harem and ecchi *cough* Kenja no Mano *cough*.

This mc has a lot of self-awareness and reason, and doesn't follow the 'hero' archetype which makes it a really funny read, and his creative way of addressing problems is fun to follow. I hope this story becomes a meandering one, where he travels around the world, discovers various new things, but there isn't too much of an overarching plot which ends up taking away from these little moments which have been explored so far - such as obtaining food, assimilating with the culture...

I hope this work keeps getting translated! I really like it and hope the work continues

This series has great potential. I have just read 1 chapter at the time of this review and I did like the MC who isn't like those cliche character where he is OP as hell but still ignored as a extra that got summoned and tries to show up the originally summoned people.I don't know if he's smart but he does have the intelligence and common sense needed to survive . Hope this continues and am not disappointed by any cliche moments.
