The only reason I'm giving it a 9 is because of the novel.
I'd classify this as a slow burn, but trust me it's so worth it when the main leads finally get together and slowly grow together and become better versions of themselves.
I finished the novel literally months ago but I still remember how despite all of their hardships, despite their sh*tty upbringings and their sh*tty environment, they were still able to be so sweet to each other, so good, so supportive.
The story drags on a bit
My point is, the novel is really good. It's best that you read that first and then the manhua. Don't get me wrong, the manhua itself isn't bad, but (as is usually the case with adaptations) some scenes were skipped and imo it failed to really flesh out the relationship between the main leads. I wasn't able to feel their deep emotions for each other as much as I did while reading the novel.

, but I didn't really mind bc at that point I'd already fallen in love with the characters and wanted to read more about their daily lives and struggles. My point is, the novel is really good.
