So good😭
No drama just love
If you want to read another manhwa about mothers accepting their queer children, I really, really recommend Mom, I’m gay
A really cute story with a surprisingly solid plot, considering how it started.
I wrote a pretty decent review and MangaUpdates somehow decided my token wasn't valid anymore, so I basically lost it.
I'm a little bit pissed off right now because I lost what I'd written, so I'm only going to say: Get past those first chapters, there's a tender and soft manga by the end of it with characters that keep it real and drama that goes beyond the usual BL tropes we're used to seeing over and over again.
I really liked and enjoyed the themes of this BL on family acceptance and homophobia within the family setting.
However the execution was clumsy on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd chapter. Everything went a bit too fast, and the unfolding of the events were disjointed, with no transition between some scenes.
The author made up for it on chap 4 and chap 5, these two chapters were really good and wholesome.
The premise is kinda silly, sugar mommy service, and the progression of what happens with it is a bit silly at first but it gets heartwarming. I enjoy the close up panels of the boys showing their facial expressions when stuff happens. The pacing feels nice, any drama does have enough impact to garner sympathy for the situation, but not to the point where I'm utterly crushed and cursing the world.
Art felt comfortable, I did praise the facial expressions, but the art wasn't lifechanging, that is to say it wasn't bad. It was quite nice, some winter scenery (I think), the area where lots of conversations happen is quite relaxing and tranquil.
Honestly, the main draw here is how wholesome our boys are.
