Sorta sad, sorta confusing, overall pretty good

The review below doesn't really give the story much credit. The alien was going to KILL Tsubaki. Regardless of how in love she and Shin-sama were, it's not fair someone should die because they're having fun. It's Tsubaki's body. I personally think Chiyo did the right thing saving Tsubaki...but I recall her saving Shin-sama when they were on the rooftop (when they saw the lights, which was one of the more confusing scenes).

Chiyo actually did like Shin-sama; she prayed he could have materialized a body of his own. She liked Tsubaki for his physical appearance and then later because his physical appearance reminded her of Shin-sama and the times they spent together.

Chiyo isn't some great heroine, but she's fairly likeable. It's a nice story, interesting plot/idea. I'd say give it a read if you're looking for a quick read (it's not long)!

Callous heroine

Unmm, so exactly what part of this story is nice or even insightful? Major spoilers, beware.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
The heroine cannot look past someone's exterior. What she calls 'love' is simply an infatuation with a guy's appearance - his cute face, his cool body etc. The guy has the most horrid personality ever and sleeps around like a male cat in season. Then comes this alien who LOVES the girl and she has incredible fun with him, but no, she is still in love with the cold-hearted player. Not only that, but in her heart she twice chooses to KILL the alien so that the original guy survives. Yep. Wonderful.

Aww, I really liked this story... it was sweet, funny, sad (I got overly emotional and cried a few times), and leaves you with a hopeful feeling.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
I felt majorly sad when she felt like crap because the guy she loved seemed to despise her yet Shin-sama treated her so nicely... and when she had to choose to save Tsubaki or keep Shin-sama. But the ending makes it all better, fortunately.

★ Definitely recommended! ★

Enjoyable/Confusing

I actually thought the art was refreshing, and I enjoyed the difference in style. However the sci-fi aspect wasn't clear enough though for my liking. I also liked the alien identity better than the real male character, and really couldn't grasp the complexities of the heroine's emotions. She was a bit of a fraustrating character, who seemed to never be sure on her character judgement. I don't enjoy manga that is obsessed with bishonen, and makes it the entire premise of romance. I also thought the ending was too washed down, leaving me a bit unsatisfied. If you want to read a light story with not much romance, which is totally focused on the hardships of first love, AND which has a sci-fi element that feels more like a tacked on novelty than a real possibility, then this story is for you smile

The art... wasn't the best. At first, I almost gave up on it after the first chapter, but the story was good. The ending was crap to me though. I really really think more should have been added, because it is more like an open ended ending.. But as much as I am upset with the art and ending, it made me want to cry a few times and I was completely absorbed in it. =) A nice read if you can get past the first chapter. =)

first off, this manga isn't for everyone. The character designs are somewhat unattractive and the storyline is a bit weird for shoujo or anything manga. But I found it interesting and it requires careful reading because some parts can get confusing. the heroine is a bit typical but still very likable.

Out of all the mangas i have read or stories this has been the weirdest because it has to do with aliens...hehe. The story in itself is quite funny and the art is not bad either but there will be some parts were you may have to go back and re-read to understand the meaning or exactly what happened, i think it was probably something lost in translation but i recommend this one.

Story...4/5
Art....3.5/5

Another cute story that kept me turning the pages. The art and character design aren't the prettiest or most distinctive but the interesting, imaginative story and especially the great character development makes up for it.
