Love the way this author deals with fetish and kink. It's not about abnormal sexuality, it's about people who've balanced their need to express their sexuality with their inhibitions. None of the people in Okado's work are sleazy -- they're a fascinating mix of open and ashamed about their needs and would rather it just be something that's in the background than emphasized (of course the co-MCs and side characters can't really just let it be, but they tend to be more curious than condemning).
Good atmosphere in all their works. I recommend if you like this one, check out DoLL!
It's one of three translated manga by this artist which deal with matters of sex. I believe it's safe to say that Okada Tatsuya is unique in how he presents the subject. His take on sexual matters is miles away from hentai or romance or shoujo or smut. I wish we had more of his kind of manga translated. My guess is there's quite a lot of such stories in Japan. But they're for grown-ups, and I have read some things that suggest that not many of them get scanlated, for various reasons.
Too bad.
I am so glad I read this. I loved the art, as well as the characters, and that fetish was unexpected but it turned in to a great thing in the end. And just gonna say, it may not be a 10-masterpiece; but it was a great-9 for me.
i quite liked it! it was very different and kinky (kinda)~ i loved the progression and the characters. short and sweet and actually quite cute. it gives it a positive outlook ending. the art was both simplistic and pretty, which was a combination that worked really well.
it showed just enough to keep you interested, but left out enough to keep you asking.
somehow i found myself laughing with this short story. probably because the weirdness of it all. however, it does somehow give a sweet feeling to it, like a first love? the art is below average but fit the atmosphere and convey the subtle thoughts and emotions of the characters. a good read.
Okay-Wow------ is what I thought after reading this story, seriously. I thought I had read some perverted things before, but this was so kinky in its own subtle and sentimental way I forgot all the other stories that I thought had some perversion in them lol. It's not something that would gross you out, but something like that is a strange fetish to have any way you look at it. Other than that it was an interestingly kinky and sweet short story. And I definitely would recommend it to anyone who wants to pass the time with a good short seinen story.
It was actually sweet.
Not as disturbing as one might think.
The characters were interesting, with pasts and motives explored a bit (as the length allowed).
The subject of the story was seemingly silly, but had a nice background to it.
Art wise it was also nice. Befitting the story.
The speech was appealing.
The slice of life was also noticalbe.
I liked the ending. Very sweet.
edit for typos...
Short, simple, sweet, actually can be related to real-life more than most other slice-of-life mangas ,good development.....and the ending is actually very very satisfying.......giving you a goood closure...with thoughts of what might happens next if it continues.....
It has an interesting dialogue structure, which is combined with good art
personally the only reason i gave it an 8 only because it relating to the "problem" not that i mind that subject......its just not one of my favourites
Since I bet there are lots of people who are going to ask, as usual, I can preemptively confirm that it does indeed end at chapter 3.
As for opinions about the manga itself, I like the way he(*) does dialogue. Not a lot of long explanations that no one would say in real life, you have to engage the brain a bit and read between the lines. Which is the same in his two other manga, I just liked the setting for this one better.
(*) Tatsuya can be both a female and male name, but I'm guessing male here.

my opinion might change over time due to the releasing, but so far, i like this series. The concept is ... pretty hilarious. The hilarious part is of the story isn't just because the guy does that but the irony of people accepting him doing that. Plot is original, art is less than stunning but more or less practical, not much emphasis on character background (so far). I enjoy the casualness of how conversations are drawn out and just the simplicity of the story despite its originality. heheh... cheers for big words...
