This volume is particularly noteworthy as it could be seen in photographs of the bedroom of Tsutomu Miyazaki, the infamous "Otaku Murderer" who murdered four young girls between 1988 and 1989. The photo in which this manga can be seen is a point of contention with regard to media coverage of the case. Reporter Toru Kimura testified that before the photo was taken, the volume had been deliberately moved from its original place in the room to a more conspicuous position among Miyazaki's other belongings in order to accentuate Miyazaki's ownership of such material.
