You all need to chill with the insults. This comic may be "typical" for a BL manga and is like Shinjo's other stuff with an uke instead of a girl. But thats what BL is, shojo smut but with boys. At least be happy Mayu Shinjo is making these and the art is cute and not everyone likes manly ukes in their BL manga. Also, imagine if you drew all these comics and randoms online who mostly don't even draw comics themselves from another country treated you like a comic factory and bashed your manga even they dont even know how to make comics like this themselves. Calm down.

I have been a victim of many of Shinjo Mayu's shoujo works before. She has these typical storylines which she loves very much, considering it's in every manga of hers. The characters are all the same in every manga I've read from her. Anyway, I never thought I'll see her doing a Yaoi which isn't a doujinshi. I didn't actually bother seeing who was the author but when I read the manga, I recognize the art and the typical storyline. I just thought of Yaoi manga having a Shinjo Mayu lookalike and it cruelly turns out to be her when I checked it!! To those who are planning on reading this, you have been warned.

anyway, the plot is um..... mainstream? well whatever, maybe because this is her first yaoi manga? (even tho i have never read her other works)

another teacher was raping the uke and the seme went to rescue him. typical yaoi trope. not a good start for her yaoi career. should have thought up something more original. cant believe this has 3 volumes. almost everything is summed up in volume one. how on earth did she create 2 more books on this?

I was buying manga online yesterday when I discovered that Volume 2 of this series was out. I snorted. Upon reading the first chapter a while back I was convinced that - no, I knew - that it was yet another train wreck like her extensive repertoire of trashy shoujo manga back there in the archives, from Sensual Phrase to Ayakashi Koi Emaki.

This is categorised a yaoi manga. But strip it (ha) down to its bones and you'll discover it's essentially what Shinjo has been doing for most of her career, with the effeminate weak lead and strong, overprotective, mildly dubcon-happy dominant counterpart. It's just that the female this time happens to be male and wears glasses. He's still as useless. Maybe it's less sexist, I guess? The story is as uninspired as usual, throw in a carbon copy of the seme and change his hair and name, and you have an antagonist to complete the love triangle. He's also rapey and evil for no particular motivations however, just like all the other baddies Shinjo has drawn!!!!

I bought Volume 2 anyway. I know I wrote everything above. And I know I'm wasting my money. What I don't know is why I always end up going back to read her work anyway, as awful as they are. I'd say it's like a housefly being attracted to trash. Oh well. What's a fujoshi to do?
