Description
Death comes suddenly to a loved one. Though their body may have perished, you cling to the hope that their soul will stay with you. It is the year 2222, and that dream has been made a reality in a local city of Japan. Today, at the Soul Foundry in the center of the city, people's souls are being transferred to the bodies of others, or sometimes, to things that aren't human. This manga is a story about the curious, bittersweet love and human dramas that exist in an age where souls can remain in this world after death.

It's been a long time since the last time I read this.(●´∀`●)
I have some mixed feeling, but honestly, I really love this oneshot. It's beautiful, warm, yet it may sad at some time. I love how the our protagonist having quarrel, or when the boy is too strict and the girl is too stiff //what //errmaybethat'sisn'treallycorrect //butnevermind ^ p ^ ). It may start like a generic shoujo, but I must applause for the ending.
It is, an open ending. I won't hide it. Believe me, I don't usually like an open ending. But! But-- But you may able to imagine a wonderful and sweet romantic between two protagonist. And I call that an open-happy ending in my own dictionary. A kind of ending that usually suits me.
Because indeed, you'll still water your plant even though you don't know if it's going to bloom or not, right? (●´∀`●)

Awwww.... Waaaaa.... wuaaahhh..... Okay, so... where should we get started?
Judging from the cover (without reading the summary), at first I thought this is going to be a boring, typical shoujo manga about a girl and her hamster. I'm not kidding, but after I turned the first few pages and read about the "Soul Foundry", I continued reading a few more pages and there it is; the "Soul Foundry" is still there in this manga.
And that's the beginning on how I become interested.
The story is totally unexpected! (lol, of course, because I expect it to be a story of a girl and her pet hamster, while the real plot is totally different) I felt MIND-BLOWNED. I never thought the setting would be Japan in year of 2222 because the local area hasn't changed much.
In one part, I like how the story and everything is placed and portrayed, but if you think of it logically, I think the year "2222" is a bit too much. It would be more reasonable if it's only a few ten years ahead from our current time (e.g. 2050 something). Elseway, if the mangaka still want it to be 200 years ahead from now, then the setting should be altered a bit to fit the "futuristic machinery in old rural area" theme. (Of course I'd prefer my first option. haha.)
Story-wise, it's cute and heart-warming. It manages to make me smile over little things somehow. Totally two thumbs up! Art-wise, also really good! I don't know how hard it is to make a cute "romantic" story when one of the lead male character is.... a hamster. (Yea, I mean, the boy has his human version, but half of the story revolves around his hamster version XD)
Nevertheless, all I'm getting disappointed for is the ending! I want more romance, boo! (>3<) That's why I want more chapters, and although it's cliche, I prefer the boy would remember about the girl........
Oh well, I'm sure they can be together again, so I'm fine for it
