Description

Rudel Arses, the first born of one of the ‘Three Lords’ of the Courtois Kingdom, is from a corrupted family, but at 5 years old, he saw a dragon in the sky and his dark future as a villain changed. He was considered an idiot, but was that true? How would his effort to become a dragoon change the kingdom?

His family and servants don’t care about him, only looking and doting upon the second child, Chlust, and his other sister from the same mother, Erselica.

Stupid, but fun reincarnation + game comedy with a transformed villain NPC as the protagonist instead of the reincarnator

Rudel, the first-born son of a corrupt ducal family, saw a dragon-rider when he was five. At that moment, the destined corrupt nobleman villain of a harem VN/RPG disappeared into the aether and a dragon idiot was born.

The craft of the plotting and story isn't the greatest, but Dragoon is still an enjoyable light comedic read. The closest I can think of in this vein is Gifting, except the main character is not a depraved tsukkomi this time, and the absurdity levels are a bit lower.

There are a couple of tearjerkers. Cheap ones, but I kinda cryd.

As for the otaku-patheticness quotient of the story, happy to say very low: no slavery, no actual harems really, and Rudel remains oblivious. Although I might need to mention that besides some level-up skills and being OP in general due to training as a dragon idiot, he's also picked up a book about dragon petting, integrating magic and all sorts of things... And this dragon petting skill is lethal (in a la petite mort kind of way) to people when used on them, so there's lots of implied mostly off-screen petting ecchi in the story, as applied by our oblivious MC. Eventually, the whole dragon petting arts takes over as the impetus of a lot of the plot... In a good way, I think

Ah, that last one reads as if this is an ecchi novel. It's not. The dragon petting plot things are more like martial arts plots.

The world is a game world and the main character was the supposed small time villian. A fated encounter with a dragon changed his life. He is now determined to become a dragoon while the world is determined to shit on him.

The Protagonist is an NPC, while The Player/Reincarnated Person is a Side Character

The Protagonist of this novel is an NPC, from his point of view and from his story line, off script. While the Reincarnated Person is just a Side Character who suppose to be the main protagonist in this game world in this novel. From the Reincarnated Person point of view of what he know about the game Character, our Protagonist is suppose to be a villain in the game while he (the Reincarnated Person Character) is suppose be the Protagonist while rising love flag and harem everywhere he go. But there an irregular as our Protagonist (of this novel) is not following this normal route as a villain character and started something else (go read Description). And though our Reincarnated Person is failing to rising any event flag.

So begin our story about a boy wanting to be dragoon (dragon rider/knight) while rising flag unknowingly along the way.
