This may just be the last I read from Ootsuki Miu. I've read Ai dano Koi dano and the prequel to this, Ukkari Cherry. Even though none of her characters ever appealed to me from the very beginning (I mean, from a visual perspective), I could still enjoy most of her art style and refused to give up without a second try. However, the more I read the less I like. I don't mean to offend the fans or anything, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but really: in every volume I picked up from her, the first story starts out fairly okay, even beyond the art, and then, all of a sudden, I start losing interest.

What really bothers me is not knowing what exactly is wrong with this, or why this happens. I mean, in Paradise Baby for instance, none of the plots are terribly unique, but then again, not only have I read worse, I know I have enjoyed reading worse plots also. The pace of it is perhaps a little too fast, but the characters are, for the most part, quite lovable in themselves. They seldom work well as a couple though. In the main story, I had fun reading about Micchan and Shiroi getting to know each other and I liked that they had this "I won't tell what's happening here but you know it" vibe going on. But then we got to Shiroi and Sawa being all lovey-dovey with each other and it was so endlessly boring.

In Love Letter I got even more angry for not being able to like it, because Azuma, I think, had a very cute, lovable personality, yet I couldn't bring myself to care enough for him... why? I don't know, I really don't know. When I was done with the whole thing I couldn't help but sigh. It was like: "well, now we've read that..."

I hope you guys like it better, ahah.

I love Ootsuki Miu's work, it's cute, funny, dramatic with a refreshing simpleness and her art and characters are always so full of emotion!

Gotta say the other reviewer was right, the first one or two chapters with the translation out of the chinese wasn't great. That English always comes across as disconnected and not making sense.
That's sad because the work sure deserves the best translation!

The story of this manga is very sweet! (Be sure to read the oneshot prequel!)
I love how the backstory of Shiroi meeting Sawa for the first time and such comes slowly and makes their relationship even more meaningful than just a high school fling.
I also love the characters, the older uke and the smaller and younger seme. They both act immature and just like real teens!
Ootsuki-sensei's art is incredibly beautiful, I think her men must be the most pretty ones out there!
Really any woman would be jealous of their looks.
Oh and not to forget their fashion sense! Damn I've never seen boys wear more "in" clothes!

The 2nd story, Love Letter is such a gem. It's really heart tearing - one of those stories that portray homosexuality a bit more realistic the way it actually happens a lot. It's a great story and even if you dislike the other, you should read that one!

The 3rd story is cute also.

The works are smutty, humorous and so full of emotion, every single one of them is definitely worth the read!

Unique and beautiful - I loved it!

Okay, the scanslation of the first couple chapters is pretty bad. The English is broken, badly spelled, has bad grammar, and is kind of hard to follow sometimes. Also, the words hang outside the speech bubbles most times. Not good. However, past chapter 2, it gets WAY better, so just hang in there if it's a problem for you (like it was for me).

The story is wonderful! I love taller ukes, and the seme isn't too possessive.

I'm also like in love with their friend! I thought it was great that they all liked and hung out with each other even with the two of them dating. That's what really got me hooked on this story.

Also, the art is really pretty, which is nice.

The side story, Love Letter, was so amazing! I would have read a whole volume about them. This quote from it nearly broke my heart, "I only fell in love with a guy. What bad thing did I do that made everyone treat me like this?"

I felt horrible for him. I'm not gay, but I would feel devastated if people hated me because I fell for a guy I liked. And this poor kid just liked someone, and with how people treated him, he was kind of abruptly thrown into reality. Jeez, I'm almost cry now just thinking about it...

I love both of the characters separately and together. They're both such great guys. If this author every continues this story, I will read it. If this was licensed in English, I'd buy it (and I've bought very, very few manga).
