It was an average and casual story from start to finish.

The villains were not that entertaining and compelling. Little information was given and they weren't portrayed in an interesting way.

The side characters were a bit boring.

The perfume concept felt a bit forced. There are many stories like this that try to pick out one unique concept and make that the most original part of the story. However, it ends up a bit awkward when the author tries to make it feel as if the entire world revolves around perfume.

Oh. What a bag of mixed pleasures. When I first started reading this manhwa, I was so in love with it! So unabashedly feminine, so baroque and so incredibly beautiful! And with perfumes! Loved it from frame one and hooked easily on it. Then I decided to wait for it to finishing it's run and read it in one swoop (yes, I don't read ongoing manhwa from week to week anymore, it simply was too confusing, I only read completed manhwa from first to last chapter as I like without the waiting). And then... My whole opinion of it changed.

While it's a gorgeous manhwa with stunning visuals, the storyline went from a girl empowerment one (that I liked), to a completely non nonsensical high fantasy story. WTF is Khan, and all the stuff around his experiments, how Ariel and Cedric were both in his program when they were kidnapped as children, how he wants to rule the world and so on. Simply terrible. Intensely disliked it from the beginning and it only turned worse. This was a happy go lucky, enjoyable josei manhwa, completely suitable for adult women (the heroine wasn't a high schooler and love wasn't the only topic of the plot) and it turned into a really bad, cliche, undeveloped seinen manhwa.

Saving grace was the very touching, realistic way the showed Cedric as a guy who slowly falls in love with a woman who was borderline crazy in love with him before, he ditched her, and then the tables have turned, with his crazy in love and she more or less completely uninterested. His shame, his uncertainty, his emotional instability in those difficult times were palpable and left me breathless. And some of the Ariel/Cedric romantic moments were cute and endearing.

What I liked was how Ariel built her business from the ground up, and how she creates new perfumes. Sadly, even this was marred by over-the-top antagonists and cheap and repetitive plot devices. But I was hooked until the Khan storyline came. Then it just all fell apart. And trust me, this hurt, since I rarely find such unique manhwa with much a strong feminine slant that is not shoujo but josei. To have this, and then to lose it so obliquey was a bitter pill to swallow, in terms of my manhwa reading life.

Overall, not a rec. Maybe worth looking at the art and checking the perfumes, but what a missed opportunity!

I've finished reading this and to be honest, there are actually a lot of stories like this, it seems that the arts are just good, the story and how ml fell in love with fl, in my opinion, was too sudden and the enemies in the story weren't scary at all, just like mice sneaking in a moment. thank you.

Writer doesn't take plagiarism seriously. (in the story) And then several months Go read 'Failed to Abandon the Villain' or 'The Golden-Haired Summoner' instead.

Normally, I wouldnt give a custom rating after reading a manga. But i just couldn’t decide between a 5 or a 6 here

Why would I rate this story 6 - I admire the fl passion for perfumes and I’m definitely happy for her that she’s living the passion that she wanted to do in her past life. Art style is ok ( though the ml looked a bit funny to me some times) but still pleasing to look at in later chapters as it improves. The chibis are kinda cute and I think the purple haired knight is kinda hot lol

Why would I rate this a 5 - the plot is boring. The villains are dumb which doesn’t make this any funnier, like your typical cheesy villlain that “would not let them get away with this” after suffering from humiliation. The romance is meh like the ml was only interested in fl when she initiated break up. Like huh? Why? Also i don’t know if I’m missing panels but I have no clue

So in conclusion, while this is something that I would continue reading, I wouldn’t really recommend this to anyone. No its not that its bad, I just think it’s boring to reread. But you can read it if you want

It's a cute light read. I like how the FL knows what she wants and just goes nose deep into her passion. Hopefully the author doesn't make the series super long, where it starts to drag. Idk if the two artists work on the same drawings or if they take turns drawing different panels, but one is definitely an amateur and the other more experienced. The drawings are a bit disproportionate sometimes and the characters look like completely different people at certain angles.

This webcomic doesn't have much going for it: The plot devices are uninspired, scenarios stereotypical, and overall the story is just lacking depth and nuance. I appreciate the authors attempt at creating something "different" and "unique" by picking a unique story device and sticking to it, but it's gonna take more than some pretty potpourri to cover up how painfully average it is.

You Might Also Like: If you're here for the success story of a transmigrated heroine, try something slightly better like The Duchess' 50 Tea Recipes or something much better like Empress Cesia Wears Knickerbockers.

more fluff than plot, if you like the ML low-key spoiling the FL and letting her do her thing without romance (2 dunces lol)

Bog standard scenario, cheesy villains, and pretty silly plot progression.. I can't see this going very far.
