Logic over Emotion

It's not a "Hey I like you I know you'd be able to like me too" or "I like you so you're mine".

It follows a story of a guy who prioritizes reality over fantasy. One thinking through things before doing any decisions. I like how the author lets him speak his thoughts to the reader. You could totally see and feel his conflicts and how he decides what to do with those. The misunderstandings are there but aren't deep which strays away from the usual Yaoi mangas. It takes the real world's morals into account too, even if it's only two volumes. It's refreshing to see something like this.

Worth the read!

So, it turns out I actually read this before but have no recollection of it whatsoever... Therefore a reread happened.

Honestly, the first two chapters are really boring. I forced myself to read it since I wanted to recall, but I noticed how abrupt the tonal shifts are. From being shocked at catching his brother with a man to masturbating to him in the next chapter? Yeah, no real grasp on questioning sexuality, but a very good grasp on BL audiences. Falling head over heels immediately is so trite. The art style isn't anything astounding either. More boilerplate and lacking emotion.

After finishing it I can now say why I didn't remember this title: because it wasn't anything different. The clichés were tiring. The characters have to live with each other! Snooze. The characters get drunk and mess around! Ew. Why does BL need to resort to assault?

Look, I get that the story resolves nicely and even has a T/L note about consent, but where was that concern in the beginning of the story? Literally nowhere but now both want to be noble about it? rolls eyes

Phenomenal

This was such a pleasure to read I ended up ordering it off amazon the instant I finished it!!

What to say about it to do it justice...I think what made it so perfect was the pacing of the story. Most yaoi manga with a similar theme to this are very short so the romance happens very quickly and there's not a lot of tension and you don't get to see the slow struggle the characters go through, whereas in this one it takes them quite a while to realise they both feel the same way and it's cute how conflicted they both are.
(I also like how the characters from 'Koi ni nare!' - the manga this was adapted from - showed up in it).

100% recommended. Read it at once.

...Just read it again less than a day after I finished it. Can't even wait for my delivery to arrive.

Perfect pacing and amazing protagonist!

His struggle was super relatable. His inner conflict, the way he keeps overthinking and pretending... there were just enough chapters for the story to develop and for the romance to grow.
Also, NO RAPE. I AM SORRY BUT IT IS SO REFRESHING SEEING A YAOI THAT EMPHASIZES CONSENT IN A WAY.

Very excellent narrative and well written monologues for the younger brother. There wasn't much character development for the older one, which is kind of a letdown, but I'll take what I can get. Honestly speaking, I wasn't too impressed by the sex, but everything leading up to it is so incredibly thrilling and exciting. You can cut through the tension with a knife; that's how gripping the story was. Though it's certainly not perfect. In the end I'm still a little unsatisfied with how it came to its conclusion; I felt like the payoff didn't quite live up to the hype.

I swear I love the main character. In all honesty, I would've done the same (hiding my feelings). The only difference is that my feelings would actually falter as time would pass by. I love how both of them respected the importance of their family until they couldn't contain their feelings anymore.

A wonderfully built relationship and story. It felt very real and was captivating. I also really liked the smooth time jumps which gave it a more realistic feel and helped to set a great pace. A highly recommended read.

I agree with previous comments, the pacing is just perfect and gives characters time to sort out their feelings. The best thing is that they don't rush to bed and offer as much fan service as possible like the majority of yaoi. The tension is built up gradually, which makes the last chapter so satisfying. There is also a touch of reality when you think from their perspectives and understand why both hold up for so long.

Itsuki's art here is a lot more mature than her other works (perhaps partly due to the story). Ryuu is so gentle and stunningly goodlooking that it's no brainer why Yuuto is all head over heels, and in return Yuuto's cuteness can make even an iceberg melt.

One of the best yaoi that I have read in recent years.

Adore the main character

The characters don't just fall head over heels for each other on page 1 of chapter 1 haha. And the main character knows just how much to work his flirt (as a lil bro). Although the overall plot isn't too special, I have a thing for forbidden. The only thing is that these guys must be vampires. Time skip or no time skip, they look exactly the same.
