Tbh, the perverted-ness of this didn't bother me in the least. I've read far worse, and considering I already knew this was going to be hardcore smut, I wasn't at all shocked by the content. Besides, I've read Kareshi Glamorous which had a lot of hardcore kinks too (eg urination) so I had no problem at all with the fetishes in this.
[@thuyai92 - I understand that a kink such as fisting may be too much for some readers, but your comment about why a manly seme would let his pretty uke do that to him irked me a little. I think I should point out that not all gay men stick to just one role, in fact quite a few RL couples do switch, or they at least aren't opposed to experimenting. Obviously in this manga Shiro didn't want to bottom, but I'm just saying you shouldn't believe that all tops hate to bottom, etc. I know most BL does tend to imply that, but no, it's not something that should make you feel like you've "fall to hell", just because an "uke" wants to do his "seme" for a change.]
Anyway, since this is a gag manga, I really loved all the sudden jokes and moments of weirdness (for instance in chapter 2, there is a panel of a screaming dinosaur XD Totally ridiculous but very funny). So even though I did like this plot-wise and enjoyed the comedy, unfortunately I still can't rate this higher than a 6/10.
Because what did shock me though, was just how horrible Kii looked! He looks awful on the cover art, but I've learned that you really can't judge a manga by it's cover (such a cliche, but still so very true) so I was hoping that he'd look better in the actual story. But I was so wrong. He actually looks worse. Other people have already mentioned that he looks just like a woman, and tbh if I hadn't known this was yaoi then I really would've believed him to be a woman for the most part (you do see his nether region slightly, indicating that he obviously is supposed to be a man, but even then it's censored quite a bit, so at times it looks as though there's nothing there). Despite that though, what really put me off was just how ugly he is. Even if he were a woman, I just think he looks horrendous!
I know Watanabe-sensei does tend to have very effeminate characters, which I personally think is such a shame. So if I'm honest then I've never been a fan of her art work in general, but for some reason, Kii just really creeps me out.
I actually don't mind how Shiro looks, so I think I would've liked this a lot more if both characters looked like typical men. After all, that's what I really look for in BL -- two average men falling in love and having sex. No ridiculously muscled semes or shota/feminine ukes. I just prefer the art to be more realistic.
But if you do like this style of art and you can tolerate kinks such as bondage and fisting then I'm sure you'll enjoy. If not, then probably best to avoid.
OK. It's my fault to think it is a normal story with normal characters inside. I CAN'T BELIEVE in what I see in chapter 2. How are they fisting? Uke put his arm to seme's ass!!!!! and the next time will be "uke's thing". OMG i feel like fall to hell (╯‵□′)╯┻━┻ Seme has a muscular build whereas uke is beautiful and small as a girl but why why why why they can do that pervert thing?! I have never imagine that a manly seme like Shiro can be violented in the ass!!! All characters are stupid, idiot and pervert. Sorry, sorry for thinking It was normal!
Ok so I saw that one of the chapters was named "FIST man"...? (0__0)
C'mon, I needed to see if it really was about what I thought or if my mind was just in the gutter. Nope. It was DEFINITELY pretty much what the name entails lmaooo this manga is straight up kink hard yaoi but it is actually really really funny. I was constantly laughing bc it is just too ridiculous
I wanted to go higher with the rating, I really wanted to like this one, but the uke looked even more effeminate than this mangaka's ukes usually do. I just couldn't see this uke as even remotely male, so, major turn-off.
It was an interesting, albeit largely unexplored, concept for a relationship. Shiro and Kii-chan had such a unique dynamic going on. Although Shiro was deeply and seriously in love with Kii-chan, he thought that Kii-chan only needed him to exorcise his demons from the past.
Kii-chan's down-to-earth, blunt honesty and focused determination made him sometimes funny, sometimes pathetic. I liked both characters very much.
I think the story's plot could have been fleshed out to make it dynamic and powerful. Right now, it just seems to skim along the surface of potentially larger iceberg of a story.
The art is beautiful: It reminds me of the beginnings of the lush artistry that is Lily Hoshino.
I liked seeing the sex scenes: They were fetish-y in the sense that they weren't 'traditional' BL. Fisting!
