3 Volumes (Complete)

If it had gone through the polyamory route. I was rooting for the childhood friend to win.
I really liked the first two volumes for this, but when I saw "Final" on the last volume I realized it was probably going to be a rushed ending. It felt like things were still getting started, or at least at a midpoint, before then.
I was disappointed in the ending. I thought the encounter with the sensei earlier was projecting to the reader the direction things were going to go, and I was looking forward to that outcome since it's an uncommon choice. It misleadingly goes another way though.
What really bothers me is that the ending volume essentially ditches and resets the development of one of the main characters. It contradicts her own words for the love she was looking for and her own statements. She could have almost been left out of the manga because of this.
I thought everything was great other than that with art and writing. It's definitely a good read with hindsight of that, but my expectations were betrayed enough that it hurt my enjoyment of it.
