He abruptly catches feelings, pledges to be loyal after cheating continuously during their engagement. Readers will tear you down, either to defend Carcel and say he didn't cheat since they weren't married, or to tell you how Ines is way worse and she didn't care.

Still, he's a cheater regardless of her feelings, because he was trying to hurt her.

Moreover, he's really pushy with FL and tries to get her to love him, when she makes it abundantly clear that she doesn't take their marriage seriously. I can't blame her because he has been a fuckboy and he even let his past bangs shame her and talk crap about her. I wouldn't trust him either.

Y'all only like him cause he's hot.

The way she acts towards the ML annoys me, it made sense because of her past and her goal but after she realizes the ML has genuine feelings she still behaves the same way. If her goal overall is to live a good life and avoid what she encountered in the past, why is she so tunnel visioned on her original goal when she has easier and more options now that she knows ML loves her.

The story really haunts my heart and I am really invested in how Ines can navigate through her trauma and life. I think the ML is good-looking and while he's not perfect, I can see his redemption being built up slowly through time. I wish it could go a little faster so now I'm just tempted to read the novel.

I really don't like how people keep saying Ines 'deserves' better considering they speak as if she did not choose Carcel herself when she did. Why wouldn't she deserve the man she chose? If she chose a guy whom she brainwashed to cheat on her then she will get a man who will cheat on her as she expected. Carcel wasn't someone she didn't know at all. If you even considered Ines wondering , Ines knew Carcel to some extent. Writing a review as if she did not chose the guy so she deserves better are readers who do not take into consideration that a person with adult memories and knowledge had the ability to choose someone else but she didn't because she wanted a specific guy. The ML in the story is the best for her and the author of the novel wrote it to be that way.

It's just best to say that readers personally don't like him because he had slept around before marriage but to say Ines deserves better is wrong when the author wrote both characters to be flawed and said they are the perfect couple by filling each other's flaws. Author's goal was to write about the journey to show they are the best for each other so saying she deserves better is wrong when Carcel is the best for her.

I'm ngl to you the ML was disgusting she deserved better fr. He kept sexualizing her and I found it icky idk, I was kind of surprised by the amount of people who like this manwha tho lol.
The art style is super pretty which is the only reason I bumped my rating from a 1 to a 3 :'D also I do think that the story has potential my main issue was with the ML who

The storytelling is done so well it really is art. I'm not sure what it is, but the story seems to use fewer words than most manga / webtoons yet it manages to convey serious emotions with weight.

Around chapter 20 I started getting a little unsettled by how apathetic and manipulative the female lead was getting - reminding me of some psychological works that I'd tried and then noped out on - but she still seemed to mean well, at least.

As of the end of season 1 I have more hope that this tale will be more about a gradual recovery from trauma (even if that recovery will first involve pain and hurt from both sides). Art is very pretty so also another plus.

I love the plot, character building.

The storyline is very appealing as well as the arts. It's so romantic. It caters everything I'm looking for. Highly recommended
