The manga doesn't really have anything special going for it. I don't want that to sound like it's bad, but it's your run of the mill office stalker male yandere story with a female demographic. It doesn't do anything to distinguish itself but nothing to offend the reader or waste the reader's time, either. It gets better over time, I think, especially since romance develops, and I was eager for more after chapter 7, but that's all that was provided for me at this time. At worst, I could understand if others view this one as a bore.
I'd like to say that the commentary from the group "Lovesick Translations" was unnecessary and distracting and uncomfortable at times, so just try to ignore it to the best of your ability, it's mostly just dumb quips that don't have to do with the Japanese text. The translation also features frequent misspellings, missing words to form a complete sentence, and lack of commas.
I was confused about he FL's assessment of the ML as being "handsome" since he has the typical unkempt night-owl yandere appearance, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. The FL is drawn cutely, especially when drawn in chibi mode and her occasional catching of herself accidentally doing the same things her stalker does to her is an amusing development. She scolds him for eavesdropping on her, but then she eavesdrops on him to see if he is doing it to her, or she finds that he stares at her to draw her image on paper, but ends up doing the same to him. Eventually romance buds from their interactions, obviously, since this wouldn't be categorized as a romance manga if it didn't have it.
"My Yandere Neighbour" is good enough for me to not have dropped it within the first few chapters, so it's got that going for it, so I'm giving it an average rating of 5/10.
