Beijing city, beginning of the '90s. Three young boys coming from different backgrounds become friends, against all odds... ...almost, as the strongest among them will soon crack. Living in difficult conditions under pressure from local gangs creates many opportunities for fights to break out. Too many opportunities... And when love interferes, things become even more complex.

Ji’An studio leaves the light tone of “Niumao” to concentrate his talent on painting a fresco about young boys' lives in this tremendous city of Beijing. Although the backgrounds are fully Chinese, the story could take place in any other big city in the wolrd, as it talks of "universal" problems.
