As far as I can tell, this was supposed to be a demo for the light novel. It's kind of a shame because the art was great and the story not terrible.

That said, I don't understand why they do this. A lot of people don't want to buy a different format for stories so this would actually hurt sales of the manga and light novel in the long run as far as I can tell.

4 for intentionally incomplete, but it would have been a 7.

The only good thing about this is the relationship between Mc and his Master, ,the story lost most of its weight.

Anyway if you were hooked years ago by the initial betrayal here's the gist of how it goes between MC and his ex friend and ex gf.


The manga was monthly and way too slow, it never had any hope of adapting the whole novel unless it ran for 30 years and since it was axed at 1/10th of the story i guess reading it is pretty much useless.

The series was good and becoming intense after MC slayed the dragon and gaining the it power. From there, manga group decide to cut it short!? What a cliffhanger this series. Barely an arc completed and it still has long way to go. I hope another manga publisher or whatever take notice and appreciate the novel.

Whelp once again we enter the territory of an axed series, Much of the plot threads are left unexplored like the GF/Best Friend betrayal and the main characters issues. It at least ends kinda at the end of an arc but it feels rushed and you get a huge exposition dump that fills the last chapter thats pointless since it leads to a "The End".

All in all this results in a series thats kinda pointless to read and while I give it a 4/10 I'm tempted to give it a 3/10. Before it ended while it had some potential it was mostly mediocre and not suprising that it was axed. As it is it's pointless to read and if you really want the story then read the novel.

Even though the start is a bit cliche (his power having been suppressed from the start and slander of having cheated),and from the using a katana it might seem your stockpile MC,but as the story moves we can see how the author is trying to create dynamic scenarios that don't only change based on the MC. I really liked how his actions had consequences, that make his starting situation plausible (How the MC decision of leaving took various weeks and made him fall out with his father, the fact that not everyone abandoned from the start ...).

It's 11ch and he is starting to see how petty his reason for getting stronger is (without giving excuses as other MCs) ,coupled with the narrative being coherent I have high hopes for the series.

Edit: I read further on in the novel and it got better as expected, but I was really disappointed in the female characters, they do great in the school battles and some situations, but arbitrarily become damsels in distress. I mean almost nothing would change story-wise if they fought or even "saved" themselves.
BTW: it's quite outrageous how his old friend goes even crazier after and a bit unnecessary

personally, this isnt that bad at all. though it could be better if this had some kind of revenge to it.. though idk if it will have revenge in the future since currently as of chapter 6, there isnt any.

its kinda boring. if it was in the past, sure its interesting but now. ehh. from the first chapter, it seems like the typical "im weak but im actually really strong" story or "ill get stronger after this and that happens to me" which in this case because his girlfriend broke up with him and his at the time best friend "took" his girlfriend away.

if you like this type of story, go ahead.
