Not a harem, which makes the series much more palatable. As with these type of series, there is only one blank slate Japanese man and far more female characters with way more personality and charm. I think the writing and clear internet influence on the comedy portion makes this particular series stand out among the cliches. The author is aware of the audience's expectations and access to the internet, and makes little twists and interactions that add to the charm of each female character. Chapter 24 in particular is a good example of this. The male character does not show up, and all the female characters riff off each other. At the end there is even a meme reference that is broad enough that those have seen it can recognize and those that haven't can still enjoy.

Just remember to turn the brain off before reading.
