This seres started great. I read back and forth between an online fan translation and the official English books. The online translation was much better and more charming. The last page of the English book had grammar issues and a plot incongruent statement. It is as though the translator got lazy at the end. I reread the fan translation and that made more sense. My favorite was volume 6 of the English book then it went downhill from there for me. I also disliked the out of order perspectives in the last book. It would have been much more of a pleasant read if it were more chronological. If you take the last book out, it is a 7.5 or 8 to me.
It's a very basic power fantasy. But not a good one.
The premise was good enough at first. But then it immediately turns into a story about sb who gets handed down a ridiculous power and proceeds to do everything on his own. At that point the fictional world as well as characters and antagonists become an afterthought.
I think the Second Coming of Gluttony was similar as a power fantasy, yet more fun to read as side characters mattered and the mc actually interacts with the world instead of steamrolling it.
Or even Novel's Extra if you prefer the mc go solo a lot.

I suspect that this got popular because the webtoon adaptation has art good enough that you don't end up caring about the writing, but i've not read the webtoon.

Solo leveling is in reality considered one of my favoured manga. one of the things that I adore approximately is the art, no longer simply that however it’s also coloured. I’m used to reading manga that is in black and white however I’m beginning to get used to studying coloured webcomics and dubai girls like ankita here and the god of high school. the motion elements also are captured very well and I really like how the main person, sung Jin-woo was an e-ranked hunter then worked his ass off to grow to be a robust and badass hunter. the complete plot is pretty interesting and I’m truly no longer disappointed after reading one hundred chapters, it’s a 10/10 for me.

Good novel except for the ending
Totally and completely loved this novel, one hundred percent recommend
A great tale and journey, is hard to say more than that without spoilers.
The author don't leave much plot holes and later explain why only the protagonist gets stronger and the truth about the system, so if you hated " why only him gets stronger" or stopped before that, give it another chance.
And don't forget the side stories, they are like a epilogue and bonus for the fans , all mixed together.
