Author thought of a very unusual concept for this novel. Our MC, Yan Zhaoge is summoned into the world where he is the antagonist. His rivals/enemies are literally the cliche xianxia zero to hero main character we see in every goddamn novel out there. Born into poor family, mortal body, bullied by everyone, childhood sweetheart stolen by Yan Zhaoge but a fortuitous encounter granted him an OP item and superior cultivation path, you know the drill! Hell what is even funny is how the hero character even has the dog shit luck(a stroke of luck during a time of misfortune) we see in other novels, he and Yan Zhaoge compete for a rare resource and it ended up in the hero's hand despite how easy it was for Yan Zhaoge to acquire it, strongly highlighting the ridiculous luck of the MCs we see in all xianxia novels. Really like how the novel picks on & ridicules the stupid and over the top cliches in the xianxia genre.

That said, Yan Zhaoge is painfully aware that he is not the MC of a story however he is not helpless as he has knowledge from the ancient prosperous times that allows him to practice the best techniques and cultivation methods. Moreover he strove to find creative ways to not conflict with the hero guy but he is still not a push over.

Just for this unique plot alone, i feel the novel is worth the read. Really looking forward to what the author has in store for us and how he'll diverge from the boring cliches.
