The premise of an asexual woman and a gay men in a lavender marriage to get their families off their back is great. Characters are fun and so far it's not too slow.
However, the ML has a crush on a guy who is seemingly straight (and if I know anything about BLs...he's probably not totally straight). There's nothing wrong with this, but it makes me question how this story is gonna develop since this alone is already a trope. I might be jaded though. Right now, the first 5 chapters have a very slice of life and introspective tone that I enjoy and I don't know if this is gonna go in the drama direction (either the FL discovering she isn't asexual and finding a love interest and/or the ML pursuing his crush).
My personal wish is that they continue to explore what it means to deny themselves and who they are for the comfort of it (for FL, there is the question of their family's expectations for this marriage like kids, as well as her exploring her asexuality in more depth, and for the ML, he is dampening his ability to pursue a romantic and sexual relationship that would fulfill him).
ETA: Finally finished this and while there was drama, it was fairly down to earth with the drama. However, Sousuke (the straight guy that the ML is in love with) goes through it learning lessons about himself & coming to terms with the relationships in his life and his motivations when it comes to pursuing what he calls "love" and "romance." The ML and FL have a lovely marriage that makes you reflect on what it means to be a family and what the true meaning of marriage is as well as the various definitions of 'love' and happiness. The manga is also refreshingly short (3 volumes, 16 chapters with bonus chapters here and there) -- it tells the story it wants to tell concisely without cutting corners. I wanted it to be a little longer, honestly, but it ended the right way and in the right spot.
