2 Volumes (Ongoing)

2 chapters in and I have made the following observations:
The main character is a moron who acts against what he wants because he makes incorrect assumptions about how things work... and the story corrects that through what can only be described as plot armor, but against plot holes instead of against dangerous threats.
There was a countdown that was dramatized... because of the above paragraph. There was literally no reason for him to panic or wait as long as he did. Also, how did he get 3 skills (translated as "skill elements" but more like "skill limitations"... which makes the main character, again, a moron) when it was implied everyone gets only one and they can't be the same?
There are 2 classes of Mary-Sue: the one where the world bends over backwards to accommodate them, and the one where they have unexplained meta knowledge of their world, situation, and/or the plot ahead so they can make the perfect decision without an explanation as to why they know to make that decision.
This main character begins as the latter, fails, then becomes the former.
I don't know what the author was thinking, but I do not want whatever drugs they seem to be on.
