A fortuneteller and her guardian warrior travel 600 years from the past into the present in order to find a young woman who can stop an apocalyptic even from happening. Together, they must navigate high school and fight off monsters, magic and evil.

During the Chosun Dynasty, in the year 1562, the country’s fortuneteller, fled her beloved country trying to escape the wrath of the barbaric Yeojin by traveling through a mystical pond along with her guardian warrior, Kim Jang. Once on the other side, the duo realize that they are no longer in the Chosun era, but rather in 2007 Korea.

Fast forward to 2017, a young student named Yoon-sul meets a monster called Sheng Soo, who is responsible for having killed her father 10 years prior, but before the monster can hurt her too, the fortuneteller, who is now 16 year old, and her warrior Kim Jang, appear to assist her.

The fortuneteller asks Kim Jang to protect her and reveals that Yoon-sul is somehow connected by power to the monster and themselves. As it turns out the duo have been following her ever since her dad was killed so many years ago, looking for a way to interact. What they are just finding out however is that Yun Bong, the leader of the Yeonsinnae, used the pond to travel back with them and has been preparing to bring her army from the past to the present and use their magic to take over the world. Now they must work together to stop this from happening.
