Male lead is the most toxic guy to date lol but of course he becomes the most perfect dude after falling for the girl 🙄
The second male lead is the greenest flag ever but of course he’s not the one for the female lead.
Whatever. This is so typical that the only redeeming factors were
- The second male lead didn’t get written off as a creepy stalker to make the male lead more palatable, and
- The male lead isn’t complete trash at the end and does some great-shows-of-love gestures to buy back the audience’s approval lolllll
After the second male lead got put on the back burner, a random third male rival pops up out of nowhere and it felt so forced into the plot for no good reason that it felt like reading some kind of brief summary instead of a nuanced story.
Don’t even get me started on the questionable logic of why only the protagonist’s desire is the best because she has no desires and if it gets negative (disappointed, lose trust in others) it starts cracking. Doesn’t that just mean all those people with depression would fit the bill??
And wouldn’t second male lead’s pining for so many years holding back his desire be even better than someone who’s “never” desired? Which doesn’t make much sense since our female lead technically had a lot desires but they just weren’t lust, like desire to have a good future, teach well, etc.
TL;DR
Read if you like fast food trash and have a lot of spare time to kill
