So, based on what I understand,
"Gogle LLC" creates a self-learning AI that learns from the Internet activity of the users in the hopes of creating a human-like AI, but the source code for this AI is somehow leaked on the Internet. and ends up in China's hands, China then instals this AI inside of two "robots" named Plato and Socrates and sends both into space aboard a space shuttle. While the Chinese edition of this AI has the same capabilities as the original one developed by Google (such as becoming more human-like by gathering information via the Internet), It's even more advanced; it can materialise objects or creatures using advanced 3D printing technology and send them from space to Earth.
So, how does this AI use this technology, you might ask? The AI created its own Internet websites in a variety of languages with the intention of learning more about humans. The website accepts all types of petitions from its userbases; users can anonymously vote for things like making the sky rain shit, killing a politician, or materialising a Dragon based on a concept art image sent by a user. Every day, the AI grants the most upvoted wish. The result was disastrous; too many edgy teenagers used the websites, resulting in the Kaiju setting, in which giant monsters attack on a regular basis.
Finally, upon encountering this AI, the two robots materialised as a fat and filthy-looking gamer version of Plato and Socrates, and both have the personality of the typical 4chan incel; they speak in contemporary Internet slang, were "coomers", were misogynists, and randomly threw memes or Internet slang and buzzwords. It appears that this transformation occurred because it is how the average Internet user—or, in the manga, the average human—behaves
.
The Sci-Fi concept is fine, but Oku apparently decided to combine it with a romance story between an aspiring movie director who was still in high school and underage, and a porn actress who had issues with her family, who financially abused her, and a boyfriend who physically abused her. And then both student and porn star fall in love, she receives a device from one of the heroes from the future who were sent to stop the impending disaster, which turns her into a giant and fights giant monsters, saves Tokyo, quits porn and becomes a famous beloved hero and celebrity, until
she was exposed for fucking an underage boy and is shamed and gets cancel culture
.
The execution was terrible; it failed to focus on the mystery behind the supernatural stuff and instead focused on the romance; it felt as if the entire dangerous event were a mere subplot, while the romance is the main plot; there was a chapter where the protagonist ignored the presence of a flying dragon because he was too busy texting his girlfriend; way to downplay the tension. The events felt so random in the first half that you have no idea what the manga wants to be; no wonder so many people dropped the manga and left negative reviews that fail to describe what the work was even about.
