I don't know why there are bad reviews. I really like this manga. It's humorous and I like the art. I liked the art better at first, it's like slowly getting worse... I have to agree though, I hate when people fall in love so quickly.

Though I really can't tell who she'll end up with! I'm constantly switching back and forth rooting for Shin and Tokio! Right now I think I'm rooting for Shin. >_< Ugh my heart just broke a little. Lmao

Just because someone is strong physically doesn't mean she's just as tough emotionally. Cut her some slack.
That said, I'm rooting for Tokio, but I'm prepared to be disappointed. Shoujos never seem to favor the steadfast, good guys. No, the story's not that original (so far), but it is funny and the art's good. I will give it a higher rating though if the manga dares to go against type and Tokio actually gets the girl.

It seemed to me that she was vulnerable when she started school, and because her hopes were so big, she fell in love with "love" more than with Shin. Look at the importance she puts on the "signs" of love. I'd say it was probably a bigger blow to realize that her grand dream of finding a perfect love and boyfriend was just that—a grand dream. I guess I don't think of her as a wimp for hurting and finding it hard to let go of the one who broke her heart. Because people aren't perfect and love can be painful—and it's especially crushing when learning that truth for the first time.

I like the basic plot where a ex delinquent girl goes to a new school to make a new beginning, and I like that she's a tough girl, but Neiro annoys me. She's too driven by "love". I hate heroines that fall in love with a guy straight away and become one of those love dorks. That part of her kinda pisses me off.
More of a comedy, but Neiro is still annoying.

Like badkitty and amilah said, it's the typical girl swooning over the moody jerk type story. The narrative of this is nearly identical to all of this mangaka's works. Innocent girl starts to fall for the moody "black hair-kun" nice blonde guy enters the picture, girl spends the rest of the manga crying over the the former guy. *groan*
At first I was impressed w/ the fact that Neiro seemed strong in will and body, but after her incident w/ Shin she turns into a whimpering little girl who can't get over her first crush. Also I don't like the way she treats Tokio. She treats him like a consolation prize and when Tokio doesn't act like a complete moron and starts to question Neiro about this, Neiro does what she does throughout the whole story, starts to cry and beg. Yet, after all this, she still continues to fawn over Shin (wth). Finally, what's up w/ everyone letting Shin get away w/ acting like a total jerk this whole series. He hurts his best friend out of spite, makes Neiro look like an idiot, and then spends the rest of the series trying (rather openly and aggressively) to get her back.
Still the manga is not w/o it's good points. It's pretty funny at times, and the supporting cast is all interesting. Also, the mangaka does poke fun at some of her own cliches.
EDIT: I read the summaries of all the untranslated chapters, and it doesn't really get any better. It's the same thing over and over. Shin gets aggressive. Neiro wavers. Tokio gets upset. Neiro cries. Repeat ad infinitum. I don't expect Neiro to be some pragmatic cynic, but it's the fact that she doesn't even try to move on. She still lets Shin get the better of her and melts like putty every time he looks her way. While Tokio is just kinda... there. He might as well not even exist as he's only there to remind readers how swell a guy he is (That doesn't really matter if the heroine [his supposed girlfriend] treats him like some sexless shoulder to lean on).
All the cliches can be forgiven if they're used effectively. Unfortunately they aren't here.

At first it was a strong girl fighting for justice and finding love, and it was funny too. But then it turns into your typical shoujo girl who can't get over one stupid guy and cries every 3 seconds....so I stopped reading it. I'd give it a one but its not even worth rating.

Its major strength lies in its humor, and it doesn't disappoint. Others have mentioned that the romance is rather generic, and I agree, but don't let that turn you off of it. It's still an entertaining read.

i have to say...the manga is ok.. i cant say very good..but the art is very well drawn...i really dont understand how a girl can fall deeply in love over a guy she just met and then used her 4 some childish act like that... i find him very immature...and again to suddenly love her (rolls eyes)...something is deffinately wrong with him..now 4 her..ok u tell me..after some guy hurts you like that..would u even want 2 see and talk 2 him especially when ur mad...unless you relly dont care that ur feelings were toyed with...god...i swear i will never act like this girl...she should give herself time 2 heal..and not rush into another relationship..if she rushes ofcourse she will find it hard 2 fall 4 the other guy...she should really be sure that she doesnt like shin anymore..she is only hurting him...she can hang out with him more and get to know tokio first..ur heart is very fragile..give it time to cover up..even though the guy wants u to date him...let flow slowly...and another thing avoid talking, seeing or having any contact with a guy who broke ur heart..then it will be easier 2 move on..she is not even trying to move on...she is still living in her dreamland whr she thinks everythin works out fine...in reality this never happens..either u move on and be wiser..or be stupid and cry in ur room all day over a guy who doesnt even deserve those tears ur shedding 4 him..u shouldnt even give the guy a second thought..
GO 4 the one that u are sure u can thrust and likes u 4 u..and not because at first he just wanted to get back at an old friend and now likes u...thrust me people like that might even do it again or other things..thats the problem with shojo manga girls..they always go 4 the cool and evil type..instead of the sweet and always there 4 u type...sometimes it just doesnt make sense
the strory is ok.. so i'll give it a 5 since i read something like this before...not very original but because of the art it gets a 7 4 me...thrust me read this if ur bored and want something that makes u "think" alot

She's a strong-on-the-outside girl who is pathetically weak and pitiful on the outside (she falls for charm and can't summon up the strength to dislike the guy who used and abused her). He's either a cool, manipulative prince charming or a rude but sweet delinquent. And the whole drama is about how she can't forget about the abusive boyfriend. Gosh, as if I haven't heard that before.
Skip this if you're sick of predictable, disappointing shoujo.

So rarely do I find manga where I can't tell who the heroine is going to end up with. This is one of those manga. Honestly, I like both of the prospective choices, although I prefer Shin simply because he's less typical (Tokio is a very generic character). But all of the characters are amusing and none of them are annoying. The main character isn't a wuss, and she doesn't beat around the bush. She lays her feelings out on the table, no matter what they are, which makes the manga more amusing. And like I said, I really don't know who she'll end up with, which is extremely refreshing. Once I started this manga, I had to read it straight through, and I eagerly await the next chapter. For people looking for an amusing, uncomplicated, well-drawn manga to pass the time, I definitely suggest this one.

It's an adorable shoujo manga. If there's an embarrassing, apparently serious or sad situation, it ends up with a funny gag either way. Shin was supposed to be evil, but I didn't hate him - and it's really easy to make me hate someone.
Every character is absolutely loveable. The chairman is a hilarious narcissist, all members of Ba-Ka are extremely interesting and different from each other. My favorite character is Nijika. She's the most amusing out of all, although her expression doesn't seem to change that often.
