The premise: While walking on her way to go live by herself, Baa-chan was killed thanks to passing near a group of children being summoned to another world. The halfassed hero summoning of that skeevy kingdom destroyed her body, pulling in only her soul, and her luggage, causing that world's god to take pity on her, offering her whatever she wanted. However, Baa-chan just wants is to be able to live alone comfortably and safely, and maybe grow the food she needs, so god gives her a new, healthier, (younger) body, and all the magic and skills she may need to live a life on her own.
Not that she really understands any of that 😉
Baa-chan is the archetypal grandma character; kind, caring, a little forgetful, who will spoil her grandkids rotten... and completely oblivious of the dangers of living in this new Mid-evil style world after 73 years of peaceful living in Japan.
My opinion: It's precious! I love it so damned much, and I was absolutely devastated just now when I got to Chapter 67 and found that the translations stopped there, and there hasn't been anything new since 2017-06-19! T_T
There's so much sweet and silly fluff throughout the story that makes it fun, but I also love the way the author addresses realistic personal issues, like mental health, and how there's actual character growth. I especially love the "found family" aspects. And while she's got 30 years on my, I can relate to her soooooo much! (Though I'm no longer surrounded by my found family/no longer have anyone to rely on)
