Underground casino “Paradise,” like all casinos, has a healthy amount of seediness. Toru Shintani, a dealer, suspects his dealer colleague Kikuchi is stealing from the casino and confronts him. Little did Shintani know that this was the first step into his quick descent into the shady side of “Paradise.”
To keep an eye on Kikuchi, Shintani opens up his home to the poor thief and plays a make-do go-between for Kikuchi and the yakuza in charge of the casino. Shintani soon finds out that dealing with the yakuza won’t go as smoothly as dealing for them.
5 Volumes (Complete)

I like the storyline and can't wait to see what is going to happen next. After vol.1 everything's a mess. The story is about casino "Paradise" and people involved with this place, a yakuza manager and his assistant, a croupier who's also a con man, a decent employee Shintani, and others - like gamblers, other staff members and yakuza guys not involved with casino. There are many characters, it's not a bad thing but because of that and poor translation it's hard to get a grip what's going on here, at least in the beginning. I'm sorry to say this, but sometimes dialogues don't make sense, translation is so-so and it gets on my nerves cause it's killing my fun. For example they use a word "dealer" instead of "croupier" and it caused a few misunderstandings, like I thought that he's selling drugs or the other time I thought they were talking about another guy.
Anyway we have here an interesting love triangle plus some extra people who get laid with main characters so things got more complicated, even scary at times. Calling it a triangle is a mistake I guess but I can't find better word. There's also a tragic past, betrayal (I felt sorry for Kikuchi) and huge debt to pay. The fastest way to earn big money is - like always - selling your body. It sounds cliche, I mean yakuza + debt + prostitution but actually it's not, plot is very good and execution is wonderful. This is a type of story where it's hard to tell who's a good and a bad guy, who's exactly the black character - they're all in shades of grey. The better you know them, the more you change your mind. The art is very good and sexy, I love their face expressions, because of them they feel so alive.
I just finished 1 volume, I hope that the whole story will be translated and I pray for more skilful person to take care of it. I'll definitely check up sensei's other works. If you like yakuza stories, cunning characters, rough foreplay and master-servant relationships you'll like it.
This is so good! I was only able to find 4 volumes from the English licensor, though, so it's lacking a satisfying conclusion.
As far as this particular brand of dark drama BL goes, this is one of the few that doesn't make light of rape, negative gay stereotypes, etc. There's DEFINITELY still rape in this story, to be clear.
Took me 2 days to read the 4 vol and gosh, it was so great ! It's in the same lane as Acid Town (another masterpiece). It has a lot of intense smut but the story is way more deeper and dark with complex and twisted characters. You can feel all the way through the painful tragedy of Shintani, Sudo and Haruma lives. It's an emotional ride because everything is sad and everyone is pitiful.
You know the story is great when you have to take multiple breaks to analyze the behavior of each character, try to understand their actions, their dialogues and their psyche. I could probably write a whole page on each character and even the side character such as Yoshitsugo and Sudo's mother.
Psychological + Yakuza BL is definitely the best combo.

Is an amazing series of unfortuntae events linking these three people who have being through so so much and it seems that it won't stop.
I hope for everyone's happiness, yet it seems that it comes at a very high cost.
