Came here specifically to write a review highly recommending this to everyone. At first glance it seems like one of the many MANY MANY trash manhuas, but is in fact ridiculously high in quality. So much so that I'm curious as to whether it's based on a source material, like a webnovel, but is one of the better ones for sure.
The main couple is fantastic. I want to qualify that the genre of this seems to be (imo) comedy+romance in first place, with all other genres taking a back seat. They include cultivation, mystery, supernatural, modern day, etc. But all behind the rom-com aspects. And yet despite the author being a 'harem genre webnovel author' as the blurb says, as of 75 chapters in, it's in no way harem.
For being a rom-com that involves such a ridiculous premise, it's also ridiculously deep and philosophical at times. Perhaps that comes out wrong when I say it like that, but I had ZERO expectations of any actual emotional depth, or philosophy, so when both appeared, I'm super pleasantly surprised.
But anyway, the cast is great (both major and minor), but the key players are definintely the main heroine and the author. Those two have ridiculous chemistry, and the slice-of-life romance, pettiness, hilarious comedy, touching moments, and everything else, is just... chef's kiss.
Honestly, read this. Hands down the best manhua I've ever had the pleasure of reading. (Which doesn't say much, you know as much as I do how much Trash-hua floods the market).
Oh - side note: the translations are really damn good. Errr, rather, I have no idea how accurate they are lol, but the TL'ers all absolutely speak english and it's supremely well edited. Really high quality stuff from the TL'ers. Mad props to them.
