Description
Irene is a professional assassin who is able to transform into any type of woman using her 'make-up' power, but instead of killing in cold blood, she uses her abilities for good.
This also features Araki's debut work 'Armed Poker', and his other early works 'Meet Virginia' and 'Cool Shock B.T.' Some earlier prints also include 'Outlaw Man', but not the one shown here.

We all joke that Jonathan Joestar was a direct ripoff of Kenshiro from FotNS, but he's actually a recycle of this manga's male lead.

I'm a huge fangirl for Jojo and SBR, and so reading this short series that Araki wrote before that is fun. You can definitely tell it's by the same person when you see the villain planting kittens in flower pots. Irene is a take on the magical girl genre where magical makeup transforms an innocent girl into... well, I'M SO SADISTIC!! My friends and I were shocked (and amused) that there was female fanservice here, since in Jojo you're much more likely to see some dude's underwear than any girl's panties. The art is very similar to early Jojo (of course), so it's full of anatomical problems, excessive muscles, and round baby faces, but it's still a fun read, just for the crazy. Which is pretty much the reason you'd read anything by this mangaka anyhow.
