It's been a while since I read this mangaka's works. I'd just returned and found this on my wish list and was like "wtf?" then I saw my reviews on her other works. Seeing as her other works impressed me, I thought of giving this a go. It's not a collection of oneshots and the tags on this make me want to run away. But, see, this author, I have faith in his/her amazing ability at surprising me and giving me the heart-warmingly unexpected.
The humor in this, dudes, the mangaka can bring it. The heroine(though on the cover looks the sickeningly weak type) is hilarious. She's quirky(and a mangaka to boot) and after 5 pages, I loved her already.
Just when you think it's going to go all cliche and whatnot in one scene, BAM! The mangaka does something unexpected with her characters, the heroine most especially.
I have a love-dislike relationship with this manga though. Just when you think the story is doing a nose dive into facepalm-cliche waters, it turns up just a bit to save itself which makes me keep wondering if it's going to get better or not. I can't rate it yet but I have faith.
The art is okay, wonderful in some parts, and yeah, it's pretty typical so far for shoujo but I know this mangaka won't disappoint.
I have no idea what I just read but I love main characters facial expressions... I don't think I'm going to continue reading this. It's not because it's weird, I just feel like it's going to turn out "normal" and I don't like normal...
