It was a good idea, but...

...the execution was so amateurish that all the potential was squandered. The manhuaga should have taken their time and developed the characters, their pasts and the tragic happenings of the present in a more orderly and detailed fashion. If the storytelling had been more skilful, this premise could have gone a long way. As it is, The Rain Leaves a Scar is barely above "mediocre."
