Description

So Much Competition...

The two most notable virtues of this work are that the MC Kenzaki Ameri is an OP superhero that's funny when defeated by modesty...

But she was presented in a scenario where not only her peers were a lot more powerful, they made a lot more with their overall impressions. Some examples of how different OP heroes handled Ameri running gag:

Saitama from One Punch Man didn't get disturbed fighting naked opponents or ending naked himself...
Kurokami Medaka from Medaka Box is a straight exhibitionist and is a firm believer that nobody should feel ashamed about their bodies...
Eighth Wonder from Uchi no Musume te wo Dasuna turn it up to eleven and went Full Hentai
Saiki Kusuo from Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan sees people naked all the time...
Almighty from Boku no Hero Academia is powerful but doesn't handle fanservice jokes... However they have a team aside from it... Hagakure Tooru, Yaoyorozu Momo, Midnight, Mount Lady and everyone's favorite Togata Mirio...

In the latest chapter however her demonstrations of supremacy were really on pair with the characters mentioned above... I dare to say she's worth of her self evaluation of a 100 million power level...

Ogino Ken penned a really hot babe in the image of Lady Justice but she is regrettably overshadowed by the entire subgenre of ecchi/action series...

The examples above all share a trait as their powers raise equivalently as the their skin exposure levels (probably)... and very well Ameri is sexy as she can be for a Shounen Series...

If you ask me Justitia had everything to figure in the hall of fame of Shounen Jump Heroines... But failed miserably cause her supporting cast was MISERABLY INEXPRESSIVE...

I'm specially biased against Marui Enta... fanboy, sidekick, weak nerdy, mental lifeline, possible romantic interest (argh), and personal stylist... Not only the uniforms he created always got destroyed easily, sometimes he didn't weave them in time and some of his personal designs made Ameri look like a slut... and it felt wrong somehow!

And Maris/Malice introduction was another low point... In a world where Aizen Sousuke, Freeza, Kibutsuji Muzan, Kumagawa Misogi, Uchiha Madara and much other exists... Ogino-sensei elaborated wrong... the guy wasn't born with zero malice, he was born with zero CHARISMA... the guy has the face of a mook! The editor's decided on the axe just to cut this guy face off...

Call me a sexist if you need but it's obvious that the share interest in the manga only lowered with each villain that got introduced. They didn't present a single eccentricity... Thugs for the sake of being assholes... It would be so much easier if her foil was another hot girl...

Probably that's all. Would read if the series get a remake in the future...

What a disappointment

It's been just 4 chapters but it's obvious the focus in this isn't the heroics, but lame ecchi and romance tropes. It's a pity a premise like this wasn't handled by a good Shonen Jump author, Soraichi would do wonders with it. I wouldn't care if there were other battle shonens with a powerful female main character, but I think Medaka Box is the only manga like this published in SJ, so it's a shame that this sucks.

It's too early to judge right now but it's refreshing to see a really strong female lead, in fact too strong at this stage. The (funny) drawbacks are that she's easily embarrassed which is unfitting for a character as powerful as the lead is and there is an unnecessary ecchi element. But I'm sure many readers won't mind that.
