It was incredible sexy all time, but in the end I cried. That's awesome.
...or whatever's the proper word I'm looking for.
I mean Rei didn't actually have a round table in his head with his alters all speaking to each other, but the author had to come up with some visual representation of what was going on and that's what she chose to do.
What a coincidence that is. Moving on to the manga review, art is good. Concept is great BUT executing this kind of theme is difficult. Should be logically implemented but for this case, the author used the 'personality switch' to extremes which kinda ruined a non-fantasy/supernatural/sci-fi story. Another difficulty is making the story original. There's no uniqueness in the plot, aside that it's BL. The rest it features about the disorder is already done by movies/dramas showcasing it. I wish there could've been something original. It only went like, "Hey I love that movie about MPD! I wanna write a story like that too but let's make it BL~" and done with that, just the BL part is what it showcased.
To be honest I kinda have a hunch that this is heavily influenced by that famous MPD-themed Kdrama 'Kill me, Heal me' which aired in 2015. Same #personalities, similar conflicts, similar alters except for two.
HOLY FUCK IM STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF READING THIS BUT IT IS INCREDIBLE. it properly explores DID and has very interesting characters. seriously amazing.
the 2nd couple was a bit sudden that i cant help but laugh when i see them. it was so unnecessary.
update ch8: this is literally one of the most interesting bl manga i’ve read!!!!!!! i adore it so much and i wish it could’ve been longer 😭😭 thankfully its still ongoing
update : hm. i’m quite disappointed to be honest. i just felt like i was continuing reading for the sake of reading. perhaps i wouldve enjoyed this more if i read it in one go and it was completed. anyways, that’s not where my criticism lies. i hate how they handled the alters situation. at first, it felt fantastic and real to life but then they started treating the alters like they were separate people and not a part of rei. i also don’t like the direction they went with for the kazuha-mc-rei plotline. i don’t like how kazuha felt like your regular nice second lead who loses the mc to the bad boy. idk. this book ended up feeling rushed and cheap at the end :/
